About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

This has been £199 everywhere couple of weeks ago and even lower with discount codes and Vouchers. But it is back to £249 everwhere, except Argos. It may drop back to those prices in the future. But If you are looking to buy one now, this seems to be the best price.

If you consider £8.70 TCB Premium cashback (5% Topcashback Premium Cashback / 4.5% for Topcashback Standard, *Cashback is calculated excluding VAT), and 2% Airtime Reward, it will be effectively less than £199.

As a complete newbie to this I’m seeking some help. My son wishes to spend his Christmas money on buying one.
I’ve had a quick search online and so confused on how the monthly subscription works.
I’ve also read things about using a vpn to buy 1-3 years of gold for a much cheaper price from say Turkey, and then adding the intro £1 cost to upgrade to ultimate game pass for the full subscription bought? I’ve also read that some folk simply buy a monthly code from eBay for £1.79 without doing any of this?
If anyone can explain which is the best option but explain in layman’s terms for an fossil like me, that would be super helpful! Thank you
I assume you refer to the game pass subscription.
I don’t much know about the benefits of that, but I have also just got back into Xbox (had the old Xbox 360 since about 2020) and bought the Series X
Anyway, it’s true if you buy a 12 month Xbox live gold subscription, you can then pay £1 to upgrade your gold membership to ultimate, which is basically the game pass.

You can buy up to 3 x 12 month subscription to Xbox live gold and apply to your account, before paying the £1 upgrade to Ultimate.
If you don’t want to use a VPN, just look on CDKeys. I paid about £35 a couple of weeks ago. I’ve used VPN before but that was to get it for about £25, which was a steal and that sort of price isn’t available atm. (edited)

    Amazing little console. Heat.

The dimensions made me chuckle though. Height - 27.5 don't put it in its side like that folks (edited)
Isn't that exactly how you are supposed to put it? Like in the picture?
It even has little rubber feet to stand it that way

I had one on Black Friday for £137 from Argos, it was £199, used a £5 voucher and £57 of Nectar points. Absolute bargain. Love this little console. Gamepass is great.

Good console for the money. Just remember it's only digital. There are some decent Microsoft sales now and then and you can always use Gamepass if any games on that service appeal to you.
Its only 500gb u cant go mad with games..

These are going fast, I contacted a friend to get one around 25 miles away from me and it was oos in 2 mins, he ended up going to a store 55miles away to collect one instead and was probably lucky to get that. (edited)
Cost more in fuel than buying the one on Amazon for £225 surely.

These were £199.99 before Xmas at a few different places, surprised there haven’t been any better deals for Boxing Day as I thought there would be.

Maybe waiting around for cheaper price was a bad idea. Will these get back to sub £200 any time soon?? I hope so!
