OK price for a science oven. Tescos basic model starts at £35. Suppose this has 3 years warranty though.
Any 30L ones kicking about?
Oh not one of them twist timer knob ones The fun you will have trying to twist it till it's exactly on the minute mark

But it's digital... Surely it has a proper clock somewhere, my current one has those knobs but no digi..
700 watts is not enough. Mine is 1000 watts and is the minimum you need these days. Maybe more if cooking certain things eg a whole chicken or joint of meat.
All these non SSteel internal MWs rust within a year...
After having used both, I think a microwave oven with a digital display really makes a difference, so I'd guess for £3 more this would be better (at least for me).

My British made Sharp microwave was not stainless steel and was rust free after 10 years.

The Kenwood I bought 2 years ago is already heavily rusted. AVOID KENWOOD, they are rubbish.

Which microwaves have stainless interior panels?

I've got a 25 yr old microwave oven which hasn't rusted inside either, despite not being "British made".

I've been watching that for over a minute and the time hasn't changed.
Time for a song
I gotta move these microwave ovens, custom kitchen deliveries, I gotta move these refrigerators....etc.... I want my MTV!
Great were the expectations on bringing this Aldi microwave home last night .
Plugged it in and switched it on, machine did start up and although the turntable was not revolving the food on the platter was still being heated on it's non-shadow side by microwave antenna
No internal light switch on either.
Anyway returned it an hr ago and am pleased to say the replacement unit is working satisfactorily
I prefer simple microwaves two dials 1 dial for the timer and the and the other dial for the power level. simple.

Previously in my quest for a reliable compact grill microwave I bought a "NEW AND UNUSED BUT BOX MAY BE TATTY OR MAY NOT BE IN THE ORIGINAL BOX " refurbished " reliable" Severin ( German Brand) microwave from an ebay stockist ELECTRICALS-4-YOU
I only used it for warming goats milk , once twice daily , and ended up never actually cooking any food in it in it. Anyway it suddenly went belly up and after several unanswered emails and phone calls to the vendor , I got directly in touch with Severin who phoned back from Germany ( and followed up with an email to say the chap had nothing to do with them and they'd not had any dealings with him ever. It turns out there've have been similar stories and they're looking into this vendors claims of being an outlet for the manufacturer. So buyer beware of ebay seller ELECTRICALS-4-YOU
The hope with the Aldi Microwave is that I'll get a least a few years use out of it and Crofton will stand by their 3 year extended warranty promise!
