Cheapest 800W i've ever seen. H+.

I bought one from Aldi - a combination for £64.99. It didn't work on the combination and worked when the door was opened. It eventually went up in flames - still trying to get them to take it back after 18 months.

Are you serious? 18 months?

If it didn't work properly when you bought it, why did you continue to use it? Did you read the instructions? Aldi will refund any purchase that is faulty if returned within a short period after purchase - nothing unique there, they have to, it's the law!

After that, its covered by a 3 year warranty from date of purchase via a uk based phone line - details supplied with appliance.

If it burst into flames, report the matter to Trading Standards - perhaps you did but they decided to ignore you since you clearly failed to follow the manufacturers clear safety instructions stating you should refrain from using the product if a fault develops.

I took it back to the shop a few days after I bought it and was told to ring the manufacturer. I tried but did not have much time to spend over half an hour hanging on to the phone. As the microwave was our only means of cooking at the time as our kitchen had been ripped out I had to borrow another one from a relative.
I have not used the microwave - it has been sat in the car for most of this time.
When I eventually decided enough was enough and eventually got through to the manufacturer I was told to take it back to the store.
Unfortunately, I had by now misplaced the receipt, what with all the building work etc. and the store would not entertain the return, even though I had the receipt when I first took it back to the shop and I still had my debit card receipt.
I have now contacted Trading Standards and awaiting their response.

So you voting it 'Hot' then???

yes, lol

I have just bought an 800w microwave with 1000w grill in Asda. Own label, model GB208T1H for £33.19.
The specifications are much the same as the above posted one, think there are 6 power levels and a shorter timer

I bought this one but have had to take it back today. Noisy as if the grill was rattling when the oven was on, condensation running down the gap between the inner and outer plastic on the door.
