Another B and M deal! Microwaveable wheat slippers reduced from £3.99 to £1, its on their website so I assume its a national deal. There were plenty in the Fareham store today. They had pink, purple and blue and they smell of lavender. Nice in this cold weather!

Tasty.

All we need now is a wax bicycle and a chocolate teapot.

Just kidding.

Heat.

Kippers or slippers!:p

My oh got these a couple of months ago & hates them with a passion. The wheat are under your feet so if you try to walk they crunch & crackle. The other thing is that she says they don't retain the heat for more than a couple of hours before they need re-heating. Which brings up her third gripe. The wheat is enclosed into the slipper, so the whole thing needs to go into the microwave. Once you bring them out, even with little water in the cup, the slippers can actually get quite damp. Though tbf she paid full price, so for a quid, you can't go wrong in trying them out.

Heat.

Obviously, you microwave them.

So you put them on your feet and walk around on the floor with them and then put them in the same place you heat your food?

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Warm feet but bad food.

Ashens...... you need to expand from poundland!!!

Yeah - got my OH one of these.. she pointed out that she'd have to put them where we heat food and never used them.

They're still in a drawer somewhere, unused even the one time where, surely, no hygiene rules would be broken.

Good idea.....
I'm also going to try and walk around the house with a couple of warm weetabix strapped to my feet......
Might shake them to see if any cornflakes fall off.

Nice......:{

True this method is completely flawed,
but this item is a perfect pair of microwaveable bean bags.
for 50p each.

I take them to bed with me and they are still warm in the morning
as they retain your body heat.

On that basis, HOT.

I have celiac disease, do they do wheat-free ones?

Very hygienic

These are absolutely abysmal slippers, a friend bought me some for Christmas. They're damp, sweaty and go from uncomfortably hot to freezing far too quickly. Mine got binned after the first use.

sorry didnt realise you put the whole slippers in the microwave,I already had some at home which I thought were the same but have a zip compartment in to take the wheat out and heat it.wouldnt want to put the whole things in my microwave either but I do heat stuff in a container in the microwave do doesnt make any odds really

*so

Only an issue if you never clean anything.

My feet are much cleaner than some microwaves I've seen, hot.
