Love to take my little one he loves trains but a little far but heat

What a super deal! ordered and heat added. thanks o.p.

thats been on Amazon for a while now, seeing as the day out rides can be anywhere between £5 to £20 a person, this is a good deal regardless of even if you bring kids at all......

This is an excellent deal for a preserved line to be honest. You'd pay this just for an adult day rover on the bigger lines (Severn Valley, West Smerset, North Yorks Moors, Great Central, Gloucs. Warwicks, etc).

Guys this deal is available on the back of parking tickets in the city

Does anyone know how long the journey on the train is. And I assume they bring you back to the departing station.

And you wanted heat so therefore didn't post it in the thread that has become the helpful things to do holiday thread.
Tell me I am wrong.

But a parking ticket is £70 or £35 if you pay quickly so that would make it very expensive

"Amazon Local"....I've heard it all now. Last time I checked Luxemburg wasn't all that "local" to my part of the UK. (_;)

This is a great deal for any family. This is hot.

From memory you start at Butterly station and the train takes you about 30mins up the line to the main museum bit. You then get the train back.

If you start from Ripley, you travel towards Swanwick, you then travel a few miles further down the line (no station) where the train swaps ends and comes back towards Swanwick. It then heads back towards Ripley but goes through to a crappy end station (literally nothing there except a industrial estate and a view of the motorway) before swapping ends before going back to Ripley. If you stayed on the train throughout it'll be about an hour and half. However most people will get out at the return to Swanwick.

To be behind a steam engine, yes it is worth the drive.

We found the static displays very good too. There was plenty to fill a day.
