Not saying this model is, but Miele have actually starting production in another 2 or 3 countries now, plus Germany.

Shouldn’t bet cost be around £549 then after cash back from Miele?
Also use code VCB40 for another £40 off.

Lets hope they don't go the same path as Bosch, which is now merely a popular German brand not a German manufacturer of high quality.

I think it was cheaper on the previous deal..around £460 after all cashback

It comes in at under £500 if both Quidco and Coop work together ...but you’re right...but that deals long gone

Will QuidCo work if a code is used? They tend to track to start with, then cancel a few weeks later when a non-QuidCo code is used....

I never used a code on this ..just the three cashbacks, I think they should work together ..but I’d imagine the voucher code mentioned will void the CB. That’s said if it’s £40, it’s a better saving

Hot deal! A pity I'm looking for a 9kg/10kg version, and the Coop price for the 9kg isn't in the black friday promotion.

My previous one lasted 12 years. I bought the wkb130 this week so I hope it lasts 20 years.

Got this on the previous offer. Patiently waiting for the tumble dryer now...

Thanks! Time to get rid of the Hotpoint that we bought as a cheap stop gap after 2 Bosch machines failed in 5 years (still going after 9!).

Managed to persuade my wife again.... The £40 code works, so let's see if Quidco does. Worst case £512 plus the £35 coop money back (don't know if my daughter will be able to spend it in the shop at university as this is the closest to her).

Bought it in the Coop offer, it's OK but not a patch on my 12 yo Siemens machine which it has replaced, 1600 spin but clothes not nearly as dry as the old machine (1600 too) so takes quite a bit more tumbling (costs!), and it's quirky requiring a lot of tinkering to get the programme you want rather than the one it wants you to have! Most programmes do not spin at 1600, so you will end up with very wet gear on those, hence the need to tinker to get a wash of the right type and length which will spin at 1600. Worst aspects: cheap nasty grey painted plastic door trim on a very nice solid door, cheap nasty inflexible plastic waste hose.

Default programmes take DECADES - well 3 hours, OK that certainly gets stuff clean but is overkill for much of my washing.
Not actually complaining for the price I paid (if I ever get the 200 quid back!), as much of that can be worked around and it is very quiet too - except the spin and pump is not remotely quiet, so despite the option, it could not be used overnight unless you have a house with a Utility room in a distant wing, or you sleep like the dead - It is unusable overnight in my 2 bed semi.

Probably a good buy, even at the current price - but as most brands are much poorer quality than they used to be Miele seem to have gone the same route; although I was still expecting more; after all these things are hyped up to ridiculous extremes. I very much doubt it will be around in 10 years and definitely not in the 20 years they try to claim for Miele machines.

but we're happy to pay just as much, if not more, for a mobile phone made in China?

Its clear that the most peoples' expectations of mechanical longevity and technological progression are widely different between Washing Machines and Smartphones aren't they...

German made Washing Machines that continue to work for 20 years = popular
vs
much less rugged but shiny Chinese made Smartphones with new features every two years = popular?

I used the code just in case Quidco didn't work; so far no tracking!

Will they price match the Quidco 5% and the Co-op 5% cashbacks?

Thanks for the offer. Missed this deal last time as I didn't know if Miele would also give the £200 cashback.
Used VCB40 for an extra £40 off.

I have to say that I am amazed by their delivery service; the machine is arriving less that 24h after placing the order. Well worth £3.99.

Going to be tricky getting this beast into my basement (and the other one out...)
