One of the Entry-Mid range machines from Miele, gets great reviews. Pricy for a washing machine but the quality and long life more than make up for this.

£700 normally, but 20% off at BestBuy with code BBY. i.e. £560. £10 delivery if not from store. Goes for £650 to £750 everywhere else.

Don't worry about the warranty due to BB closing, Miele offer a promotional 5 year Parts and Labour Warranty with this item: miele.co.uk/war…ns/

5 years manufacturers warranty
Thats a good deal for a quality machine!
Anyone wanting a washer get this, the best washing machines are Miele! We have had one 7 years still looks and works great. Average life 10-20 years, no need for a warranty with these. Bargain!!
We had a Miele for 17 years, gave it to friends who were hard up because we thought it was near the end of it's life. We have had our new one 7 years now and the other one is still going!

Quality machines that go forever and worth every penny they cost.

We have a manufacturers 10 year warranty on ours.

Had a Servis, 20 years, no prob.
Cheap an all.
I live in a flat. Will they bring into the flat or just deliver downstairs?
Miele.... Best white goods manufacturer and service support ever! As I recall you can extend the warrantee to 10 - 15 years for not too much money.

They don't look very 'trendy' but who cares?

Hot!
Good find, I don't need a new one but heat added
Voted COLD. I would NEVER buy another Miele product after a regrettable fridgefreezer purchase and appalling customer service where my letters of complaint went unanswered; I felt forced into paying for an additional 8 year plan last year, to help give us some form of redress when (not if) this dreaded machine plays up again. Machine has been faulty from the onset. Must be on our fourth fan! Granted they answer your calls, log them, but then you have to wait approx. 7-10 days for the repair engineer to be in your area. Imagine that when the alarm is routinely going off, every 7 seconds. I can recall the sound now. God help anyone who has one with an audible alarm, whilst you can turn off a washing machine at the mains, you're stuffed with a fridge freezer.

I'd heartedly recommend a SIEMENS washing machine and dishwasher. You generally get five years free warranty with siemens too. Check out John Lewis (exemplary customer service) you can get 8kg drum capacity machines with either a 1200rpm spin Siemens machine for £499, with 5 year warranty - johnlewis.com/230…spx or a 1400rpm spin for £526 - johnlewis.com/231…spx

A balanced view if you're interested...

UPDATE - You can also achieve a further £50 discount for trading in your old machine per the advert for the £499 model, thus making it a £449 purchase "Save £50 when you trade-in your old appliance. Enter SIEMENS50 and select disposal below"

I agree with sassysoapbox, we bought a miele washing machine 6 months ago. It has something loose as when spinning rattles like crazy, but although under warranty if an engineer is called out and can find nothing wrong, you will be charged £102 for call out!!
How long do door seals last on Miele washing machines?

They appear to cost £90 plus postage.

Tip.
I've repaired a washing machine seal that split, with a bicycle tyre repair patch. (_;)

The one on our old washing machine has never been changed and it is now 24 years old. This machines is 7 years old and there is nothing wrong with it and we have never had to call on Miele for servicing.

With the old machine we used to have the brushes in the motor replaced about every 8 years (Used to cost about £90 from memory). Newer machines don't seem to need this so perhaps they have changed how the brushes in the motor work.
