Excellent brand....worth getting if you need a new hoover...:)

you will not get a better hoover than this we have the C1 amazing knocks 10 belaes out of the Dyson and we got 10 year guarentee for £50

Agreed! Had a dyson previous to this and much prefer the miele

My cheapo vacuum from a major supermarket died last week and I've been shopping around and choked at the prices of those fancy vacuums these days. Never thought I could afford a Miele but now I can at that price. ordered. Thanks OP

bought one for £200 plus and was well worth that price. couldnt shift the black dog hairs with any other vacuum till we used this one. had it for about 4 years I think and still works really well. heat added recommend highly

Would a cat or dog be able to understand the instruction manual?

Very tempted to get this

The dog doesn't look very worried. He doesn't think there's any way that he'll fit up the tube, and I would have to agree. Not unless he was blended first.

pinkkitty 2007: do that
just to mention replacement bags cheap on amazon

We got one (non pet version) recently... Had dyson, George and Henry numatics and this beats all by a long shot

Agree with all above, got this and after 4 yrs still going strong!

Purchased one of these from John Lewis a couple of months ago for a lot more money than this. I was sceptical about the reviews but having been an avid Dyson person for years I am now a true convert. This machine knocks spots of anything else I've experienced.

The guarantee cost £50 and not the vacuum cleaner, right?

If it's the vacuum cleaner, that sounds like a hot deal in itself

Hmmm this or a Henry ? Is this worth the extra ?

Heat for the deal added..

Got 2 of these " 4 floor house " don't know what the wattage is these days with those EU so and so's forcing the max down but ours are the 2000w.
Had them for about 10+ years now and as good as the day we bought them five***** from me they're great.

It still need a "bag"??? In 2015??? Hmmmm....

I had a red vacuum once .... never again

The EU forcing the Max watts down is a good thing, it stops manufactures being lazy and using big inefficient motors/pumps, people often presume Watts is the power of the machine but its Air watts that matter

Is it really that good? (not trying to be sarcastic).

Thank you ordered from Amazon.. damaged box £136.99

Miele bags (you can also buy cheaper variants at around a quid or just less per bag) last for ages, have great filtration and just clip out of the vacuum when you need to replace them. They self-seal so no filth to deal with, it's all in the bag. Bag goes straight in the bin. Bob's your uncle. My Miele Cat and Dog has been going for six years now, hasn't missed a beat. Plus the attachments aren't flimsy little affairs either, they are solid items made from high quality plastics and metal. I purchased the extended guarantee (cost me £20 for an extra eight years taking me to ten years) which I personally don't think I'll need. I could see this vacuum outlasting me.....

I ordered a microwave as a damaged box item and didn't last very long but I didn't realise that damaged box items don't have normal guarantees

We've had our Miele Cat & Dog 700 for about 13-14 years. It replaced a Dyson DC02 stair-hugger cylinder model which was utterly abysmal, even with the rotary brush head, which was posted free to every DC02 owner, an admission of the product being sub-standard. Apart from marks on the casing and other cosmetic blemishes from being bashed into skirting boards and furniture, our Miele is as good now as the day we bought it.

How do they last for ages? If it's a superior vacuum cleaner then surely it gets full quicker?

It seems to pack the dirt in tighter. Don't know if you're just trying to be sarkey, but when you use one you'll see what I mean. A bag lasts us at least a month, and we use our Miele almost daily, with two Border Collies in the house as well as me, wife and three children. I would NEVER use a bagless cleaner again.

I thought I got a bargin when i got John Lewis to price match hughes at £209.99

It's simply how much u value yr time; Miele's are more powerful in terms of suction than bagless models. Bagless models do the job but take a lot longer.

I can't comment on this particular model, mine is a cat & dog 2200w.
What I can say is the genuine bags make an awesome filter and emptying is much more pleasant than tipping a bagless type in the bin and getting a face full of ****

Cold. Neither my cat nor dog could fit through the suction tube. Avoid.
