Boom tish

Is this better than Henry?

£99 from AO via eBay too. You can get Nectar points and TCB via that route.

Another great deal Chanchi!!!

Already have a Miele and am now considering a Shark... anyone who has tried both care to comment please?

i have a few boxes of bags for this vac if any one is interested im in wakefield

Good hoovers but I have a similar model and the design is a bit dated not convenient lugging round a house, corded, stairs etc a pain to do, and if you stand over it it blasts out hot air making it a very uncomfortable chore I’m going to swap to a handheld like a Dyson absolute

I’ve just bought a shark- it’s amazing! I went with the DuoClean nv800, got it for £249 along with a free ninja blender (other choice was a coffee machine). I’ve used the Miele at work and the shark is far superior in my opinion.

how hard is it to get rid of the rubbish, my current one you have to poke to get dust out all the way round

Depends on the watts I used one once and wanted to get one price put me off the 1 I used so powerful it lifted up a fitted carpet !

no, I have this model and its awful on carpet thicker than cord. I literally have to go around picking bits of fluff up this refuses to pick up. Great on hard flooring though. Very noisy too unless you turn the power down but then it doesnt pick anything up

  • Carpet pick up rating: D.
  • Hard floor pick up rating: C.
  • Overall energy rating: G.
  • Total emissions: B.
  • DB78 noise level.

Why to splash money on new one if old one is still collecting dust?

Bags are far superior to bagless, mainly because you need a bag any ways to put all the crap in from a bagless.... which always ends up everywhere.

Just ordered, thanks and heat

But you have to buy bags. I have this model already but I got it for free from a friend who had upgraded his to the latest Dyson.

I buy vax on ebay for like 20£ bought 2 in 4 years costing me like 46£ in total. And I always have a new hoover

How many bags will you go through in a year?

8 genuine bags cost you 16 quid on ebay

I doubt I went through that many last year

Sounds like your techniques isn’t right tbh. There is a knack to it ... perhaps you’re pushing too hard or soft. Have you got the head on the right setting? It has one for hard floor and one for carpet. Alternatively, you could try using the turbo tool attachment. It comes with some models or is available to purchase separately for about £70 I think.

Good deal, have ordered thanks

Yes, I have it on the right setting

It certainly needs the turbo tool to work properly on pile carpet

The turbo tool is great but there is a bit of a knack to using the standard head. It seems to work best if you don’t press too hard. I just use the turbo tool though to be honest because it is designed to deal with pet hair etc and it is great.

I dont press hard but it barely picks anything up. Tried it on all the power settings too. I use my old vacuum for carpets and the miele for hard floors only

who seels the cheapest genuine baqgs for this?or is it worth buying a generic bag?

It comes up at £129 for me...

£129 for me too

Superb vacuum cleaners, when I got mine, (looks identical) they gave you a 10 year guarantee!
