We’ve had one of these for 7+ years and it’s been an unbelievably good, robust and powerful vacuum cleaner.

Yes, it’s not as pretty, not does it have the “wow factor” of a Dyson, but at this price it’s a great Hoover for any 3-4 bed households with pets.

It’s a Costco deal, so unless you already have an online membership (£15), the savings won’t be as much, but it is a good price, nonetheless.

Just the turbo brush alone retails at £50, so if you need a vacuum workhorse, and are a Costco member, this seems like the machine to get if you've got a home which is carpeted.
I've got this it's briilliant, the good things about this model is that it comes with the turbo brush which is a must for carpets,I assume the standard head also included is for wooden and tiled floors, as I found the standard head to stiff to use on carpets with a cleaner with this much power, that turbo brush costs £60 and doesn't come with most of the Mieles,so this cleaner is the one to go for,in my opinion

Wooden floors love their parquet floorhead. The combo head works ok, but the parquet brush is just that little bit more usable.

Uses the GN bags which can be found at very reasonable prices when buying in bulk from Amazon or Kencospares.

Whats the difference between c2 and c3 complete.

Whats the difference between c2 and c3 complete.

C3 is a little bigger in overall dimensions.
Slightly funkier design and has power setting controller operated by plus/minus foot switches so no bending down to adjust.
I think C3 has a longer power lead also, and I think also comes with a comfort handle grip where the hose hooks up to the pole, that makes vacuuming about a little easier.

The C2 is good but is based on a chassis design that was introduced about a decade ago, not that there's anything inherently wrong with it.

'Complete' or 'Cat&Dog' or 'Allergy' indicate the level of accessories and the quality of final air filter fitted to the machine (all inter-swappable, Allergy being the highest level of HEPA filtration, but also most expensive).

Fundamentally there's three types of base machine in each of their models. EcoLine = 550w motor
PowerLine = highest 890w motor
Boost = a hybrid of the two. Continuous max power 550w with a boost button that kicks it up to 890w for 1minute interval.

The model to avoid if you have allergies is their C1 Classic due to the non-sealed dust chamber.

Okay thank you, I recently bought c3 from Robert dyas for around £190 so I guess given the additional differences maybe its not a bad deal.

You got the Merc model. This C2 is their VW with a slightly less well engineered turbo brush.

Haha, I like your analogy
Which is the better option for a household with mainly hard floors and cats- this or the MIELE Complete C3 Pure Power Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner - Black £149 at Currys?
Thanks

Hard floors won't need a turbo brush. You'll be reaching for the combo head, or one of their specific brush heads you can purchase separately.
(Buying any of these brush-heads separately usually costs a pretty penny, so buying them as part of the initial package is the most economical way.
Get one with a turbo brush and sell the brush head you won't need on eBay).

Your 'cat' requirements, can be dealt with the cat&dog air filter which aims at neutralising pet smells (courtesy of active carbon pellets within the cartridge that neutralise smells). These air filters are available separately and are available for all Miele models even if they didn't come with one originally.

Lower cost of ownership is via this deal but the C3 looks smarter (it's still a vacuum cleaner. Do looks really matter?)

A 'Cat&Dog' Miele is just a branded way of identifying the combination of anti pet pong air filter and a turbo brush (to address cats and dogs' tendancy to shed hair).
They come with a red plastic main body with a little paw print emblem to denote its woof and meow credentials.
Apart from that, there's nothing else unique about it.

I ordered this when I posted the deal and it arrived today first thing! It’s a great vacuum and the turbo brush is amazing at getting up hair and fluff from the carpets! 🏻
Is it hepa?

The C2 Allergy range has a HEPA filter, but you can buy those and use them retrospectively

Upgrade or downgrade filters to your heart's (& wallet's) content.

Buy them when on promotion as part of a kit that Miele & Amazon do from time to time.
