**EDIT: NOW £10 CHEAPER AT £149.99!**

I've been looking for a good Miele vacuum. It's a bit of a minefield because they don't all use the same model names and numbers, but this is the best I've come up with so far. I think the £170 reduction is a bit artificial but I still can't see a better deal.

Any thoughts?

Hi, Iv been looking into them to. It was between this one and the c3 cat and dog for me, with a big price difference. The cat and dog head is by far the better head and the cat and dog has a better filter. After calling a company that deal with mieles I was told you can add these parts to this version if wanted. So that was my plan to save a few pounds. How ever I brough this and wouldn't change it! It's far powerful enough for anything. So quite on the low settings and I struggle to push the Hoover on anything above half way! Was so surprised as they used to go over 2000watts. My cat and dog s5 I believe 2200watt was nowhere this powerful very happy with my purchase X
The "extreme" model version is not listed on the Miele website, but the specs look very much like the Cat and Dog. I was wondering if Currys might have used the word extreme instead for marketing reasons?
Miele kicks ass at cleaning
great deal..have had a similar model for over 3 years. Thats after getting throuhg 3 models of a previous over hyped, well marketed brand . The other brand although brightly colored it could so easily be mistaken fior an apple product, it constantlty blocked, hoses broke or other expensive repairs. Once you've gone miele you won't go back...Even tho its not bagless, whats £10 year on bags for a model that will last!!
£149 at amazon
Dyson's are 10x better than Miele, I hoovered my nans house (who's OCD clean with her Miele) with our Dyson and I had to empty the cylinder 3 times because it was that full.
check out whe which reviews. see how many miele models vs dyson are up there :-)

btw if you get john lewis to price match you get the 2 yr guarantee

It seems to suggest on the Currys website you get the two year warranty too. Is the JL 2 year warranty better in any way?
Shame all new vacuum cleaners have tiny low KW motors, back in the day Miele were really good when they had beast 2.2kw + motors

you do realise the Miele has a bigger dust bin?
Took the plunge and got it for £149. Thanks for posting...
Just reserved one. Seems to be running out as not many stores have them in stock.
Got the cleaner today and it really is powerful. Had to set it to 50% power to be able to move it. The box does not mention 'Extreme' but says it on the cleaner. No wonder they are reducing the regulation on high wattage vacuums. 1600w is too powerful. Thanks for posting.
I bought one too today, its brilliant. Easy to use on the stairs and very powerful. The attachment storage is really useful too

I also checked the Miele website for this model that I've recently bought from Currys. The model is SGDC1 Complete C3 Extreme and this did not show up in their website. A little confused, as not sure why???
