My sister had one similar in 1987 as a wedding gift, 20 years later she said it one on the best things she had ever been given...lasted longer than the husband.

Anyone looking at this or any other Miele vacum. Don't forget to register online for 2 year warranty. Once done go for the carebox down as £60 with bags and filters and extends warranty to 5 years. Also use code MIELEPLAT (case sensitive) to reduce to £45. Just used and works.

550w seems perhaps a bit underpowered compared to other models
I would rather go for that 900w ish one and buy missing brushes /cat dog filters what not. They have created C3s in many wattages, colours and bundle options just to confuse customers me guess

Good find the same code can also be used on the vacuum itself to bring the price down to £134.
Great awsome...bought it
.....how can i get insurance
Got it ...need insurance for replacement in future if faulty
Bought this last year, works very efficiently. Surprisingly little difference in term of cleaning power, to my earlier 800W model. Has long cord, so extra long operating radius, and tools onboard.

Awesome, was this code sent to Miele Club members?

I just registered and added my Miele products yet i'm still classed as member and not gold or platinum - does it take a few days to upgrade?

Was wanting to add the £15 welcome package discount + that one you posted, unless it only allows 1 at a time or if they're the same.

I just registered my products and then purchased the relevant pack. I was not a member prior. Not sure about code stacking. Received my filters and bags would recommend the purchase.
This deal is still on and the code is still valid. Heat added.

Just bought it. Not a bad price at £134 for a Miele.
550w, looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
Thought I needed a new one after the cord retraction broke (wouldn't stick) on my s6240 but fixed it with some elastic bands and tape.

Hard to figure this out but this one boosts to 850W which is the same as the standard non eco ones. Here is full list of bag models:

We inhereted ours from the missus' parents. They were going to throw it away. I serviced it and we've been using it ever since, absolute beast!

God knows how old it is.
These are good vacuums. just need to factor costs of bags which is around £12.00 for 4. Also I found it more usable and more effective on carpets with the optional turbo brush head which will set you back around £50 - £60
Fantastic products which are much better than Dyson. I’d go for the Cat and Dog which is just unreal at cleaning. In addition, call Miele and ask them when there free 10 year warranty promotion goes live.

Can’t decide between this or a Henry hoover plus from John Lewis. Same price. Which is better

Heard a lot of hype around Miele on HUKD. It's worth the punt but then my Henry has lasted me well over 10 years and is still going strong now. Not a lot of people seem to be fans of the Henry but it's been decent for me. Although there are better vacuums out there for use on carpet.
I have one of these - it's the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned!

I've experience of both. There's a reason that so many professional cleaning companies use Henrys. They are more or less bomb proof, easy to service and spares are cheap. They are also noisy. Meile are powerful and quiet, the powered brush head is unsurpassed on carpet. Yer pays yer money and takes etc..........

Look at the product sticker of what is delivered to you.
The words "assembled in CN" are starting to pop up on more of their products. Wooly language surrounding a prestige brand that in the past could only be afforded by the few.
Since Dyson normalised spending ridiculous amounts for a domestic appliance, the old players have had to come up with a cunning plan to maintain sales and huge profits.

"Assembled in" to my mind equals "made in" - but it gets away with sounding more premium, so they can still charge as if it were a German product.

Henry - at least tries to cheer you up with a smile whilst you're cursing at the dirt everyone's left for you to vacuum up.

What happened after 2007?
Note that the Compact (that I recently bought) has the turbo head as an extra, the one with rotating brush. The Complete doesn't.

How did you buy it with the code? It doesnt work
Got the code working, you have to be sneaky to get it activated on your account but still saves you £15

You need serial numbers to build up the discount. Think you need to own 3 Miele hoovers to get the £15 level. I just went on eBay, looked at the ones for sale and took the serial numbers from the pictures
