My dog quite enjoys it

Really good vacuum. Its' really powerful and the spinning head things gets load of hair out of long carpets. Replacement bags are quite expensive though but are worth it compared to the 3rd party ones.

Really wish I had gone for another one of these instead of the Dyson Animal when our 13 year Miele broke down. The dust collection cylinder of the Dyson needs so much messing about to get hair out of it and it needs emptying every vacuum session with two dogs. £100 worth of bags goes a long way for the price difference.

Brilliant hoover, was definitely my favourite when I used to clean other people's houses (I had to use their cleaning supplies/ hoovers). Been looking out for a good price.

Finally. A vacuum my cat can use. So - how does it work?

I bought third party bags from ebay for roughly a quid a go, been using them for literally years (about four years) with no probs. Superb vacuum cleaners. Plus i bought a ten year warranty for £20.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal, just what i am looking for! Slightly confused though, on the Miele site, it doesn't say cat and dog vacuum and when you watch the curry's video it is a completely different colour? Do you know if this is an error on curry's part and is it the actual cat and dog vac? Thanks

I think it is a cat and dog one but an older version...

Think this is a newer version for bit more money

currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

Wattage is the same on both models though, newer one is slightly smaller/lighter it seems. Also under accessories says the newer model comes with Turbobrush (the thing that's gets the pet hair up I think?!) but that's not listed on the s700 model - but would have thought it would come with one aswell?

Thanks for the info folks, much appreciated, going into curry's tomorrow!

great hoover which best buy

Let us know what its like if you get one raggydoll! And if it comes with the brush head thing- trying to convince husband to try one of these over getting another dyson...which I havent been that impressed with!

I will do skisop. I have had dysons for the last 12 years (3 in total) but I have to say, used to swear by them but have noticed after the first year or so they definitely do loose there suction. I paid £350 for my current model 2 years ago and already it is not even making a dent on the cat hair. Will be between this Miele or the Bosch pets one!

I have the S5260 2200w Cat and Dog from about 8 years back and can't fault it. Family and friends purchased it after my feedback, I don't have any pets but women with long hair! And it picks up all the hairs a treat. A+

Lol N3SUN! I'd love for a hoover to last me 8yrs!!! Didn't manage to get to curry's tonight skisop, I am a veterinary nurse at a busy veterinary hospital and had really really busy day (supposed to finish at 16:00) and just got in half an hour ago! Will try and get tomorrow or Saturday. Will let you know about the turbo head.

I have a 9 year old version of this. It's amazing and I would buy it again I'm a heartbeat . The normal heads are suitable for pet hair but the revolving one does need cleaning regularly mostly for human hair though. I buy non branded bags and filters on eBay too. You can buy the official bags on German eBay for a fraction of the price :-)

Hopefully ill pick one up at the weekend aswell :-). Lol pet hair at home and work then raggydoll! Also thanks for the german ebay tip muddy

I bought this on Tuesday. I am well impressed. My last hoover was a Dyson Animal and to be fair I have had it about 9 or 10 years but I noticed for a while it was not performing well. This hoover is brilliant and so much cheaper than Dyson. I am a convert and I love the on board tool storage

Good to hear caroline, ive just been lugging round our dyson animal cylinder going over and over the same bits of fluff to no avail....not fun at 39 weeks pregnant its so heavy!

Picked ours up Sunday- so far so good, much better than the dyson animal. Will see if it stands the test of time!

anyone know what is the difference between this and the S6220?

is this really a Cat / Dog cleaner?

thanks

EliTom

strangely the S700 does not even exist on the Miele UK website

and on other sites the S700 is not referred to as Cat and Dog - this one does not have the HEPA filters

another DSG sales trick?

Does it have the revolving brush then?

Does anyone have an ebay link to the bags (german or english)?

Thanks

Ordered this for pick up in store and they gave us the S8320 by mistake - when got home looked it up and it's £300 on their website and got it for £150 - happy days !!!!!!!!!

It's £149.99 still in Daybrook, Nottingham. Was tempted but didn't have phone with me to check out a worthy deal considering I'm in need of one soon-ish.
