Seems like a good price although many retailers don't stock this particular model. Heated.

Don't waste your money, mine packed up and they are trying to wriggle out of the '10 year guarantee' (as it's laughingly known)

Think they come with 2 year Guarantee as standard. You can extend Warranty to 10 years for £50. Any more details as to why you're not happy? I haven't had call to use Miele repair service but, I hear its meant to be good.

We've had ours for about 5 years and it's just burnt out. How do you go about trying to claim under the guarantee?

Try ringing them. Took me 3 days of listening to their voicmail/music then an email only to be told wait a month before it can be collected. Could cost you £90 if you have been naughty and used any non genuine bags/filters.

Good Luck. I've already bought a replacement Vax using the Amazon lightning deal !

How would they know if I've used non genuine stuff if I put proper ones in now?

Great for all floor surfaces. Bought one a few months ago and it's a great vacuum cleaner. I bought for £75. + vat but it was on sale and last one in stock.

Would never buy VAX, cheap products that in my experience never last much longer than a year.

Very good price for a miele.

My place needs a new vacuum cleaner, so my sister found this vacuum cleaner a week ago. At first we think it's quite cheap but after I've done some google search on this product, it seems Miele doesn't sell this product anymore. (their product range item number is now with 4 numerical digits instead of 3). I think there are just only two sites selling this hoover. One is John Lewis and another one I've never heard of it. That's why for the second thought we just stepped back as they seem to be the last stocks.

Ordered, thanks! Never heard a bad review of a milele so for £100 it's worth a punt! I don't expect it to last years but hopefully it's better then our crappy vax!

It is indeed an older model, but a good one nevertheless.

Buy a Henry with the Turbo Air brush, mine has lasted for years despite me not taking much care of it.

Read the paperwork and do as it says? Or visit their website?

I've only had good experiences of Miele; their products and customer service. I find it hard to believe they would try to 'wriggle out' of their warranty.

Our Miele is around 5 years old now and still going strong despite the treatment we give it (I even use it to vacuum out the shed). It's a credit to the company and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one (although I don't expect to have to for some time yet). Wouldn't worry about this being an "older" model, quality is quality.

My dyson dc11 motor failed (partly because i didnt change one of their lifetime filters) Replacement motor only cost me £20 from ebay. Dont think you can get Miele partss so cheap

wow really surprised vax are so poor, never tried it

Was looking for a higher power vac to buy soon are dyson stil top products ? any suggestions are welcome

I got no pets just want the lightest (pensioner friendly) and most powerful vac with bagless design

Miele are excellent and very good German made Hoovers....this is a steal.....9 metre cord - 4.5 litre dust bag and 2000w is a v good spec for this price - Bought and thanks OP!! Even paid with paypal but no Quidco but I don't care for this price with a 2 year guarantee. I use genuine bags but they last ages and the filters are included, Heat!

been deciding whether to get this or not for ages

Excellent price. Miele products work and last. They're well sturdy. My Miele vac, washing machine & dishwasher all bombproof after 7 years. Hope that didn't jinx them!

I bought the Miele cat and dog hoover last year after years of being in the Dyson 'cult' . Fortunately. when my last Dyson animal broke down, I didn't have the spare £300+ so opted for the Miele cat and dog which was in the sale for £129. I was worried about the cost of the bags, but I have 5 dogs, kids and a hubby and would never go back to a Dyson. I get the compatible bags and they last ages despite hoovering at least once per day, the dust gets compacted - the Dyson I had to empty after each use. I can see why these vacs are voted by Which?

Bought this over the weekend. Haven't used it yet but I hear it's got really strong suction. Apparently QVC have sold it at one point too.

I'm not bothered that it's been discontinued. It's not like buying a smartphone were you might be missing out on some fantastic new features by not having the latest model. It's a vacuum cleaner - it sucks up dirt.

Regarding the bags. Could somebody please tell me where the cheapest places to buy both the genuine and generic bags are? Also which out of the generic ones fit best?

That's because Miele parts are quality parts. A repalcement motor for a Dyson costing £20 speaks for itself...

miele or henry hoover ???

+1 on bags

Any links for the third party bags people use please. The Miele ones are expensive from Argos but their vacuums are great nevertheless.

Not really, I have 12 months to decide whether to give it back to Amazon for a full refund (_;)

Just remember they invalidate Miele's pathetic warranty

I've had a miele cylinder vacuum for over 12 years still going strong. Excellent product. Strongly recommend.

4 genuine bags and genuine filters for £7 is not expensive...

No longer in stock

I persisted and hit refresh on the order page hoping in vain that someone may not have completed their webpage order or that JL have added further items into stock and it worked.

Collecting tomorrow after 2pm from my local Waitrose

I was particuarly pleased to get this model as it is one of the few modesl that stores the tools on board, it should also be one of the better made Miele Vacuum cleaners since they have made them lighter recently.

Thanks to the OP.

thx will keep miele brand and dyson as the top brands to go for, looks like a good vac but yeah out of stock now even after a refresh.

Will keep it bookmarked and in mind for when I need a new one.

dianneNE

When you put it like that it sounds as if your husband requires more cleaning

I can't seem to find any bags for this model? Anyone know what bags they use?
