The big daddy of the Miele range. Extremely hard to get hold of thanks to the EU rulling on 1600+ watt vacuums! These were retailing for £260 at John Lewis, Currys etc..

I've a feeling it's not getting as much exposure as it should because Argos have labelled it as an S8 instead of its full and proper model name, and it doesn't show up when searching S8320

Great Vacuum..Ive got the previous model and it knocks spots off the competitors

Yeah ,superb vacuums - wouldn't buy any other make now.

Should also add that they come with a 2 year Miele warranty as standard which can easily be extended to 10 years for £50. Their warranty service is top notch by all accounts.

Got one - awesome vacs.

Anyone able to tell me what the difference is between the S8320 and S8310?

Thanks very much

As far as I'm aware, the base units are essentially the same, but the 8320 comes with additional big and small turbo brushes. The big turbo brush sells for about £50, and the smaller one for about £25. If you don't need the turbo brushes then the 8310 is the better deal.

The turbo brush gets extensive use in our household, despite not having any pets; It makes vacuuming carpets so effortless.

Thanks a lot. Don't know much about this make (although clearly I should!) - I assume the 'turbo brushes' have a separate motor in them to aid suction or something similar? Also, I'm a bit concerned about the ongoing cost of replacement bags - do cheap sources exist?

Cheers

Turbo brushes have a rapidly rotating brush part that loosens and gathers dust/dirt/hairs so the trailing air suction can suck it up easier. These particular brushes are powered by the air suction from the vacuum, though brushes with separate electric motors do exist.

In terms of bags, they are about £10 for 4 for the genuine ones and as cheap as £9 for 10 for the third party ones. We personally stick to the genuine ones. You can expect about a month out of each bag, but obviously that will depend how light or heavy your usage is.

Bought one of these a few months ago for just over £200. Have had a Henry and a Dyson before this and the Miele beats both of them completely. As for the turbo brushes - we never take them off!
Miele do the occasional offer on bags, a deal posted on here not long ago, but expired now, had 2 packs for £15 with 20% off and free delivery Even full price, the cost of the bags is worth it once you try the actual vacuum!

OOS

That was an awesome price. At the time of the ban these were selling for over £320. Oh well...

Got mine today....It was the correct box,but the wrong vac cleaner, the model in the box was the S2111...My heart sank when i seen the state the box was in,it was held together with 1 piece of sellotape, all the polystyrene padding stuff was all broke inside the box,the cleaner was new though. And guess what? They have none left,so i have to return for a refund.Sods.:(

Before anyone mentions,i was out when it was delivered,my son received it for me.:p
