Miele S8330 Solution HEPA review
Miele's Solution HEPA Solution S8330 is a powerful cylinder vacuum cleaner designed to ensure the allergens you vacuum up don't leak back out into your home. It comes with hard floor and turbo brush floor heads to help you maximise dust busting

Our Miele S5260 still going strong after almost 10 years.

I'd buy another if mine ever breaks.

Good cleaners, very expensive parts.

Dare I ask, how do these compare to a dyson?

Overpriced and expensive parts.

Same as a Dyson.

miele have great reputation but as an alternative hughes direct is selling the samsung vacuum with £75 off £129 - currys sell for around £300. search hukd for details.

Any ideas where is the best place to get the Miele GN bags (Miele or other makes)?

Description indicates a turbo brush and hard floor heads are included but the Currys website doesnt mention this. Only that a Allergotec head is included. Can anyone confirm what accessories are included? Super hot if turbo, hard floor and allergotec heads comes with it.

Wait till the end of school term when everybody is thinking about holiday as they might drop to £99! That's what I saw in Curry .. I didn't buy them as I never like the idea of forking out for bags!

here for example:
ebay.co.uk/itm…275

You can also upgrade from 2 year to 10 year warranty for £50 through Miele.

This one comes with the full size turbo brush, airteq standard and parquet head. Absolute bargain at this price! I thought I got a good deal getting the 8390 for £198 about 6 months ago (with 8 bags and 2 filters). Heat added!

I used to have a DC26(the compact one) pro: small, space saving, good results on wood/tile surface. BUT it's absolutely USELESS on carpets (I have a short haired cat that only shreds sparsely) even with the carbon fiber attachment (cost £50), the vacuum can only rubs the cat hair onto balls of black hair that sticks to the carpet but it does not have enough suction to suck them up although its rated 2000W.

so frustrated by the Dyson, I bought myself a S6 cat & dog miele and at the same 2000W, it has SO MUCH more suction then the dyson.

from then on I decided to stay away from dyson products.

I bought my Miele after my parents had one for years and years. I can highly recommend the 8000 series. The turbo brush is almost a requirement for carpeted floors however. Without a turbo brush the suction is so insane it will try and lift up the carpet. Either that or it will be like doing 12 rounds with Mike Tyson when you're finished. The 8320 and 8330 both come with turbo brushes (STB205-3) otherwise they retail at £49 (but I luckily got a brand new one for £20 on ebay :D)

Yes, I'm a Miele vacuum cleaner geek.

The only two Dysons included in the Which? Best Buys were the DC25 Uprights which scored 70%, and the DC41 Animal which scored 69%.
The Miele S8330 scored 79% and was the 6th best scoring vacuum out of 22 Best Buys. Miele had 17 vacuums in the Best Buy category.

Get them from Amazon amazon.co.uk/Mie…ags

Did you know that the EU will start this year reducing the maximum wattage of cleaners to 1600w and eventually to 900w.
We've got 2 miele cleaners now and I may be tempted at this price to get another to stick in the garage for when one goes kaput.

Just off the phone to Miele CS, and they advise that the Currys white unit is a special package exclusive to them, and doesn't come with the Turbo Brush (Good for carpets) or Parquet brush (Good for wooden flooring or tiles).

You are using a company's name 'hoover', the generic name is vacuum cleaner.

It annoys me when manufacturers use the same model number S8330 for store specials. This isn't a S8330 as it doesn't come with the the turbo brush head or the parquet floor head so the RRP isn't really £300.or £399.99.

For those asking about Miele vs Dyson we used to have a Dyson many moons ago. As others have said I think the only advantage of these is that they save on buying bags. However, our Miele's have lasted far longer than the Dyson and the suction is unbeatable. That coupled with the filters which seem to work means I won't be going back to Dyson.

Which rates 19 Miele vacuum cleaners as best buys. Ranging from 73% upwards to 80% with most scoring over 75%. On brand reliability for cylinders Miele scores top 5 stars with Dyson at 4 stars and on uprights Miele is 4 stars with Dyson 3 stars.

I got a 8320 for £147. One of the most successful invests I've ever made.

To quote an amazon review:
So why you ask the miserly 2 stars ?? well it seems that Miele have decided to offer this model with 2 different accessory sets, one with the turbo nozzle, one without. No change in model number (like a t to determine Turbo!!). Miele customer care don't seem to think that this less than transparent marketing ploy is much of an issue but it clearly has wrong footed a number of customers (some of whom have halved my 2 stars on their reviews)and their suggestion to 'return the cleaner if you are unhappy' isn't really what I would call industry leading customer care.

As per my limited observation, I have found out that pots, compost will be reduced around that time, too. By the time my son finsishes his exams, I will go round to get some cut-price compost. Last year I got 6 at 60 pence each (grow bag though!) In fact, most of the things will be reduced just before the summer holiday. I saw the Miele cats and dogs hoover reduced to £99 in Curry and there were some 4 of them, probably two years ago. So look out!

Save yourself £50 and get this one, slightly less powerful and the tools are not stored under the flap.

Slightly would be a drop of 200w but the difference between these two is 600w! and that is huge drop of power....
