This matches the T1 Washer that was a recent bargain on the coop deal and was the cheapest I could find anywhere - cheaper even than when it was on clearance at the Miele website.

I have this dryer at home and it is incredibly efficient. It does take some time to get used to heat pump dryers rather than conventional drying as it takes longer to dry and therefore makes you think it's costing more to do it, but it uses much less energy and the heat pump recycles the residual heat. Definitely recommend. Mine came from JL but was more expensive.

You get what you pay for... 🏼

Great deal, I’m very tempted as I bought my Miele Washing machine last week from Co-op electrical. Thanks.

I've never heard of a heat pump dryer. Voted cold without releasing it was different technology, sorry OP!
Surely it'd take years to recoup the £500 price difference though?

Co op had it cheaper for those that went for the W1 a week or so before Black Friday

They do? I bought that washing machine. How do I get this tumble dryer cheaper?

Op. Link isn’t working for me and I can’t find this dryer on their website

Looks like it's now sold out. Coop didn't have this cheaper - I bought the W1 at the time and was looking for the matching Tumble Dryer at the Coop - they didn't have this model. At the time, the 640 was on clearance at Miele for 749.

Ridiculously short warranty for a £700 dryer that WILL break because they're so over engineered

Which said the 540 costs £38 a year to run and a B rated condenser costs £100.

Just bought a 7kg Beko condenser for £149 so how many years JUST to break even?

Nah just not worth it at all, even more so when the B rated condensers will dry a load in a fraction of the time this will take doing it economically.

You needed to have ordered it just before Black Friday - deal is now gone unfortunately.

I posted about it in the original Miele W1 washer thread

It was a different model if it makes Rich44 feel any better - the Miele TDB130WP is the model that was in that deal. It was cheaper, but it's a cheaper, non-matching T1 Classic rather than the 640 WP T1. Granted, it will dry clothes but that model had the inclined control panel and the solid door. I was frustrated at the time that they weren't doing the offer on a matching T1 W1 pair as I wanted both, hence getting this deal instead.

Yes, a cheaper model and and inclined panel but it could be bought for £505 if using the member credit from the washer - that's over £200 less

Yes this is true but I though you said Co-op had this model cheaper - I was highlighting that it wasn’t the same model. It was a different model, that was all. My wife wouldn’t countenance non matching appliances lol

LOL

I'm fortunate in that I could say the matching one is £200 more and my wife would go with the cheaper model.
