voted hot and rep given even though I don't need one but seems like an excellent deal!

Anyone know of any good deals on built in washer/dryers?

Think the bit at the bottom of the deal says it all;

They are apparently the Rolls Royce of washing machines - never been able to afford them before!

I have one (not this model) and its built like a tank. Mine came with a 10 year parts and labour guarantee, which says it all

This is a misprice. Co-op electrical use electrical123 to fulfil their orders and the price on the co-op site is £620. Froogle & kelkoo put the price at least £500

I thought that Electrical123 site looked familiar. It's identical to the COOP Electrical site and has the same contact us info.

However, the same machine is £619.99 ]here at the COOP.

Damn, u just beat me to that!

If this machine had a 6kg wash load i'd go for it. I'm fed up with my noisy Bosch 1600 spinner.

Miele machines were never the last word in style, but I know people who've got them and they swear by them.
If it was 6-7kg model I'd go for it, but for now the Dyson's still soldiering on I suppose... plus I'm skint, so not for me.

Yes, they clean well and have 7kg load, just (ahem) not the last word in reliability. Also, I don't know if they're made any more. Mind you, if you still find one at a good price, no reason not to get it, just make sure you buy a 5 year extended warranty from the likes of WarrantyEx. They send out a proper Dyson engineer each time who is the last word in politeness and efficiency (ours is anyway)...
Then I suppose, the Miele would never break down in the first place :-D

For that extra £14.99 does electrical123 take the old one away AND install the new one?

My parents have a miele and it's VERY good, I highly recommend them.

Well, we've got two small kids and the machine's on at least once a day... so load size is very important to us. No complaints really about the Dyson, and they're not as bad as the anti-Dyson brigade would have you think. Just don't expect them to last as long as the Mieles!

okay thanks for that il keep me eyes peeled for a dyson one 2 then, and give this me mom at a reduced price if it comes off (:

B for spin performance? Only 1400 spin speed? My £350 hotpoint is AAA with up to 1600 spin speed. If this is washing machine is supposed to be so good, can anyone say why?

WoW were getting techi now on washing machines geeeeee........1400 spin speed whots all that about??? AAA??????

find a dyson for £300 less than the going rate (and not in silly colours) and we can debate which is better bargain

If I needed a new machine I would be on this like a shot (although I suspect a raft of cancellation emails).

Three reasons:
Reliability, reliability and reliability.

Techie washing machines discussions.. gotta love it.

Ring Hotpoint on Monday morning for the findings of their wash cycle tests.

My parents bought a Miele washing machine, dishwasher and dryer, all from John Lewis.

Basically the whole kit would have come up to about £1500 but they negociated it down to about £1000 with full JL/Miele warranty.

They have all been working fine for 5 years, and I've got an uncle who still used the same Miele dishwasher he has had for about 15 yrs.

OK, it's not a washing machine (or even Miele!), but my father has had the same Bosch fridge/freezer since before England won the World Cup...

Siemens kit is also (meant to be) hugely reliable and has long (up to 5-10 years I think) warrantys.

Miele appliances are really good quality & rarely breakdown - (I work for an appliance repair call centre)

Theres a review on a washing machine site that explains more about the Miele machine and why they are so good. It also gives guidence on repairing other machine types and why washers break down so much now...

washerhelp.co.uk/rev…tml

(No I didn't search for it my local repairman gave me the address when mine broke down before)

It does not include installation or disconnection of the old one.

whot brand with a face like that il have a break down every week .....:giggle:

Uhmmm...this is what I received by email after ordering one:

This email is an acknowledgement of your order, we will contact you by email to confirm acceptance.

I wonder if they will "confirm acceptance" of the order?

I hope so as I was actually looking out for a Miele w/machine - too good to be true...time will tell

my parents miele is over a decade old
that says it all tbh.

I got the exact same message and rang them up to confirm order which they did and i never did get confirmation email though.

Just ordered one too .. not that I REALLY needed one, but the one I've got doesn't spin properly .. any excuse eh ?

Guys, Miele invented the Washing machine - Buy one.

Maybe in 50 years time Dyson will finally get it right, but in the meantime my bagged Miele will last me fine.

I do want a new washing machine but my home is quite modern and i think this would look out of place , why are they so ugly?

I know they may last twice as long but the drum is small the spin performance is only B and its damm ugly ...i think £299 is over priced lol

It's a washing machine, not a TV, stop staring at it and let it do its job.

Meile is an excellent make - if only this was on sale when I bought my LG last week. I find the installation of washing machines is generally a breeze when you have had one in previously. Just a couple hozes to screw in and plug in the machine (and remove the travelling bolts). Scraping the old machine is usualy more important - because they are heavy and the council charges me.
