Can someone please explain to me why Mighty Boosh is supposed to be funny? I'm not adverse to surreal humour - Vic and Bob can be hilarious, League of Gentlemen works for me too. But these two I really, really don't get. Do you have to be off your face on crack to appreciate them? And no, I'm not a miserable git - been to loads of comedy gigs in the last year or so and been near cracked open with laughter. Please, please someone explain Mighty Boosh. What am I missing?

This is very funny Mike. Although the price is poor as i bought this in asda for £8.99 a few months ago (yes with all the discs and "outrage" playing cards - only no tin

sense of humour? ha, sorry mate. people are different. i like the league of gentlemen, and the mighty boosh, but have never understood why people like vic and bob. i dont get them. all i see is 2 old men acting 6. im sure people will be outraged by that. but people have different tastes.

True, almost impossible to understand why this is. I've really tried with the Mighty Boosh but they just don't do it for me - a wry smile at the most. First time I saw the show I actually thought it was a children's programme, albeit a somewhat crazy one - did it used to be on early evenings? Can't remember. I suppose there's an element of needing to be on the side of the performers. With Vic and Bob, I seemed to get almost immediately where they were coming from. Each to their own tastes, and with these two they do at least have a bold sense of adventure/experiment. Unlike some of the other 'comedies' of the last ten years which haven't even got that.
