Both whole milk and half fat have been this price for a week or two now. Always good to find substantial savings on staple diet items. Also same price at Pound shop. Still £1.50 at main supermarkets.

I wasn't comparing milk, was just pointing out somewhere else you can get it for (nearly) the same price.

Another person posting to get his post count up methinks

Yep, read it.
This bit looks relevant-

Aldi managed to catch me out this morning. I thought I'd picked up my usual 1 litre semi-skimmed bottle for 49p. When I got home, the bottle was too tall to stand up in the fridge, and it seems I had bought a 'lookalike' 2 pint bottle for 69p. I hope this doesn't mean they've stopped doing the old 1 litre bottles.

I did exactly the same thing today and I'm livid. Was told the price had gone up on Sunday. Although the 4 pints is cheaper I prefer the 2litre size as handier. Couldn't face getting a refund and then buying the 4 pints though!

its only 2 litres though

See , the farmers need to learn how to market thier milk and stop selling to supermarkets. I would be happy that my £1 went to a farmer intead of a supermarket chain.

This was posted on here over a week ago!!

I personally think the farmers should open up their own milk shops. I mean if they have a product that 98% of the population require everyday, then surely you could create shops that sell only that - milk or milk products?

Cut out the middle man I say. I'll give the whole £1 to the farmers and the processor.

Only 2 Litres is Pounland too.

The farmer opposite us sells his own milk. Comes round in his van every other day. It costs a bit more than the supermarkets but we support him.

LIDL is 99p for 4 pints / 2.2??? L

Good for you supporting the dairy farmers - we have a lot of Neibours going out of dairy and they have spent huge amounts in Money and time

Just lasts longer in my experience.Easily lasts a week, whereas I've had milk from Aldi that's going off after 4-5 days.

Drunk? What a stupid comment.

Your deal isn't hot.
If everyone did as you've done, the board would be flooded with loads of "you can get it from here at virtually the same price" deals
If it was 65p or even 75p it would be a hot deal.
And as for me getting my post count up..what for?
Makes no diiference to me what my post count is!

Well some people don't have an Aldi local, and can get to Iceland easily and vice versa.
Whats the point moaning about this, im only trying to help!!

I, incidentally think 99p for 4 pints of milk IS a HOT deal anyway.

Incidentally Poundland have started having Robert Wiseman Milk ( semi & whole ) 2 litres for £1 and it"s freshly delivered by me as i work for them !!

RUBBISH ! I work for Robert Wiseman Dairies and we deliver to both stores from the same warehouse , milk from the same dairy and same farm !

Am I right in saying that the milk that you often buy from corner shops (from wiseman), often doesn't have the red tractor label on it?

I've just checked and the Iceland milk doesn't have the red tractor. The Lidl milk however does and that's 99p at the moment I think, so it's better to buy the milk there. Can someone tell me whether the Aldi milk has it?

redtractor.org.uk/sit…=GB

It's important as the tractor means that proper hygeine, safety and animal protection standards have been maintained.

Sainsburys £1 milk has it for sure

Can't you just draw a picture of a tractor on it if it bothers you so much ?
