Found 26th Apr 2017
Following on from the Star Wars Google Cardboard deal, had a look at the

John Lewis site.

Found this Force Awakens Millennium Falcon for £50, reduced from £119.

I promise I searched first and didn't find it already, but then I search every time and still find it's already been posed :-(

It appears to be a plastic toy.

Pilot a freighter like Han Solo with this brilliant Battle Action Millennium Falcon! Solo may won this ship in a card game, but when your child gets hold of this, they'll want to let it go. Beyond the beautiful movie-realistic visuals, this reproduction has a host of stunning features.

You can shoot darts out of the pop-up Nerf launcher, whoosh the ship around to the tune of motion-activated sound effects and revel in the realism with the built in lights. This vehicle play set also comes with 3 figures to man your crew: furry wookie Chewbacca, newcomer warrior Finn (Jakku) and BB-8, the droid to rival R2-D2 with servile cuteness.

The Falcon folds out to reveal its detailed interior - ripe with creative opportunity. Rest BB-8 in his dock, fix in a ray gun accessory or station your troops in the midst of a galactic battle! As your child recreate scene-after-scene and make a few of their own, this extraordinary set has the potential to give stellar pleasure for years to come.

That's because your search may have only taken 12 parsecs?oO
This looks as good as (better??) than the classic toy from my youth!!!
"£119". Lol
Does the 'Get Deal' link for for everyone? It doesn't work for me and there's nothing in the description that actually tells me what the product is...
The kid holding it looks like he's done acid.

Irony?
Why would you pay £50 for that when you can have the Lego one for £100? Well worth the extra money...

Wait until May The 4th and it will have 40% off at the Lego store, making it around £85

Weird for me too - link freezes and separately I cannot access john lewis website from my mobile. ..

However I can from a PC.

Simply search for Millennium Falcon on JL and you'll find it.

Personally I think it's well worth £50 (but no more).

My boy loves it and has had hours of fun with it.

The Lego one is great too especially if you can get it for £85 odd (yes, lego is very expensive) and great fun putting it all together.

But once put together you don't actually play with it much......

Least - that's the case for my boy. ...

He had originally intended for the film to be the first in a series of adventures, but then got to a point where he no longer expected another film to follow the first, so he made changes in his final draft that made the narrative more self-contained.However, he did later come to the conclusion that the story he was telling was much bigger than one film could ever manage and realised that he had actually been writing the middle of a story that would spread over three trilogies.

Okay, so I went to the trouble of doing that and it appears to be a plastic toy. Comes ready made? I scoured the page for 'some assembly required' and couldn't see it. However I did find this interesting tale:

The way I see it he may have been writing a story that would be best told over one trilogy. Then years later he realised that loads of money could be made releasing a second trilogy. Now Disney have taken a gamble on being able to release countless movies that may make them a load of money.

Thanks for this. We already have the lego one but while that's great for older kids, It just gets broken apart by our 4 year old and we need something a bit more robust.....he is gonna be chuffed with this for his 5th birthday - star wars mad!!!
Yes, cones ready made but good for the younger child as robust etc....
A must have for every Star Trek fan! Ordered!
