I’ve had this kit for nearly 2years. I’ve hung shed doors, put up shelves and built various units with them. Really good drills for the average diy’er.

The only drawback I see and this is purely anecdotal…. unlike dewalt/makita etc you rarely get compatible bare items reduced. I see lots of other power tool deals on here which is great if you already have two of three batteries and are committing to that brand eco system. I’ve got a mixture of tools and mainly 230v mains so less of an issue.

As a stand alone twin pack I’ve been pleased with mine.
I agree, very rare HUKD ever has milwaukee deals for bare units, but i tend to think that is because its not a diyers tool generally so they're not so commonly posted. However using ebay codes on sellers like sgs engineering, powertoolmate, ffx tools you can bag some real bargains for bare units.

For me, the twin 4AH batteries included here make this great value, especially if you are working for extended periods, without access to a charger. Many other brand sets only include 1.5/2AH batteries as standard.

I'd be all over this if I hadn't already committed to Hitachi.

How does this compare to their £250 (£200 when on offer) dewalt pack? Are these typically more expensive tools when buying bare units?
I think Milwaukee are generally more expensive than dewalt, wether that is worth the extra or not is personal opinion however I think for £229 for a double set is decent for many brands especially one that is considered one of the best! (edited)

I have had this set for 18months now. Use it for work and they really can take some hammer. The only thing i will say is buy decent 1/4 to 1/2 adaptors if using impact drive with socket that are tight or that need to be tight. I have broken at least 5. Including Milwaukee and dewalt.
