Great price for a sizeable set of Milwaukee driver bits. Next cheapest price I have found is £17.99 delivered, with most vendors selling them at upwards of £20 + delivery!

This is the generation 2 Shockwave bits, which are supposed to last even longer and have re-designed pozi heads.

at the risk of sounding like a numpty but what is the difference between the heads for an impact driver and those for a standard drill/driver and is there any reason i cant use these in my standard driver
None at all, they'll work fine in a normal driver. But impact-rated bits are (supposedly) harder than normal bits because of the stress they are expected to take in impact drivers.

The original Shockwave pozi bit heads were a lot smaller and sort of rounded, and I found they had a tendency to cam-out under high-torque driving (though fine in an impact driver), where as the gen 2's have a much chunkier head and don't slip as much.
cheers for that
I have to confess that I haven't used the Gen 2 heads - however, the first generation shockwave bits were truly awful - way worse than any of the competition I tried in my experience, with a huge tendency to cam out.
