I apologise if this has been shared before or already common knowledge.

I owe my son credit for this, he’s just bought his tablet to me and told me that there are 16 free educational worlds on Marketplace.

He’s right so on the Marketplace within Minecraft there’s a tab called “Education Collection” click on it and there’s 16 FREE contents.

Minecraft: Education Edition is a special version of the game developed specifically for educational use. This version adds features and controls for classrooms, specialty blocks and communication tools, and a tutorial for first-time educator use. Visit this list to see the main features, and bookmark our changelog to see what changes, updates, and fixes have been added lately.

These are great, especially when your child is really excited to show you what they can do in these worlds.
Are these on xbox version?
Is this for tablet? Any links by any chance please. I'm only familiar with Google play store. Thanks!

Sorry, have not purchased it. I know I've downloaded something in my son's tablet, not sure if a free version or a non genuine Minecraft, was from Google play store. Thanks anyway!
Anyone got a deal for the Bedrock edition? After buying it on the iPad, Xbox and Switch, the kids now want it in the PC, but they want this edition. Thanks

The earlier thread if people are looking for more information. Some more guides in there. I believe you can't get it on Java version.

Can't find it?

This is what my son’s screen looks like, hope it helps.

Hmm, not sure we have the "beta" version, whatever that is?

Its not a beta version, it is the bedrock version (the one on Windows 10, Switch, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Android and iOS) that has this offer. The only other versions I am aware of are the Java version (the original PC, Mac and Linux version) and the Raspberry Pi version which is a heavily cut down version.

Ok, thanks, there's lots of other DLC, but no educational stuff that I can see

Download Xbox beta. It has the new upgrade too. My oldest had it and my 9 year old was spitting feathers trying to find it, finally worked out that it was only on beta. Worth downloading for the update but not sure about the education part, would think it's on there too x
Think picture and description misleading it's just educational maps to download for Minecraft, and not Minecraft Education Edition

I think bedrock edition is for consoles and you'd need Java for PC.
If you do get it on PC, and assign 8GB of RAM then you should try modding the game. I suggest direwolf20, you get it by downloading on Twitch for free.
It adds so much to the game: flying rings, flower magic, Twilight Forest, astral sorcery, better storage and more
I'm 22 and have sunk about 75 hours into this modded version since lockdown began, I play LAN (same WiFi connection) with my boyfriend as we both have PCs.
Only downside is that it uses an older version of vanilla Minecraft, so no cats or pet fish. But it free and definitely worth trying if your kids get bored

There appears to be a lot of confusion on Minecraft versions. It is understandable given the amount of platforms you can now play/purchase it for.

Minecraft Java - Windows, macOS, Linux (Original written in Java) - best for mods - No Marketplace
Minecraft Bedrock - Windows 10, Android, iOS, Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch etc. - Has Marketplace

I'm not sure why people have mentioned Beta when trying to find the Education Collection.

Minecraft Beta with new ray tracing was recently released for Windows 10 Nvidia users.

Because thats what it says on my Xbox. minecraft beta
Yeah I see that on your screen but Beta is an opt in feature from the insider. Standard marketplace for all users will have the education collection there. Beta isn't generally advisable as you can't access realms or join others on non beta etc.

My xbox 1 doesn't, it has loads of other DLC in the market place, but no educational content...
I know this is obvious but have you ensured the game is up to date? It should have prompted you automatically as long as you were online. I do know the April update fixed a Marketplace bug. Maybe this is why some people find the Beta fixed it as it would have also updated the game to the latest patch. That's all I can think of at the moment.
