Gonna get hotter than a Bali volcano in here

If you want Minecraft, the physical Xbox One Edition is now the one to get. Removing it from digital sale and only offering the Bedrock (Pocket Edition) on the Xbox Store is a pretty big mistake, in my opinion, at least in its current form. The UI and performance of the Bedrock Edition is an absolute mess on the Xbox.

great deal if you can find it

Aren't they trialling a new version? I can see it in the Insider App - doesn't interest me but it's free while they are beta testing it.

got the EAN or TPN handy for this? Cant see it from the post picture.

Bedrock version seems pretty good on Windows 10, and you can have players on Windows, Xbox, etc all at the same time.

Is there a TPN on your receipt?

Definately better and worth upgrading in my opinion. I've just bought the ltd edition minecraft console that comes with the game so installed it ready for my son on xmas day. He's got a 360 and loves minecraft. it looks miles better and has extra stuff like maps to download (at a price) Especially if you can get it for £6!!

Thanks Bigcap ...I appreciate the guidance

Biggest bug bear is the UI just isn’t suited to console use. The Pocket Edition (now Bedrock) was designed for touch input, not controllers. The Xbox One Edition has a purpose built UI that they’ve thrown away for no good reason.

It also chugs a bit when it’s snowing.

It’s not a trial anymore, it’s the *only* version you can buy digitally now.

If I already own the Xbox one digital version can I still redownload it?

Redownload the Xbox One Edition? Honestly, I’m not sure.

Thanks mate

Paid £3 digital on launch day but heat for physical.

Just as a heads up as nobody mentioned it. Play this for 5 hours before end of January and get the bedrock version free. The bedrock version should show up as free in the store shortly after you have done 5 hrs. You don't need the disk to be inserted for that version.

From Minecraft site :
Q: How long will the Better Together Update be available as a free download to players who own the console version of the game?

A: Owners of the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will have until January 30th 2018 to have played Minecraft for five or more hours in the past 12 months OR purchased a DLC Pack. There is no cutoff for digital Minecraft: Xbox One Edition owners.

Is this update thing coming to the ps4 one? Guessing not..

Does anyone know if that 4K texture patch (for next year) will be released for free with this version? Thank

Just been to my local Tesco Extra store (Edenthorpe) and scanning at £16.99 the staff were very helpful even checked in the back for this version/price but couldn't find it. The one they stock includes the favourite pack with 7 dlc so they couldn't even price match as it's slightly different..... Bargain at £6 if you can get it.

Its the same game but if he is playing on an xbox one then it maybe better to get this version. He will have access to the online modes.
