Basically, BOGOF.

As I am in Yorkshire, I was getting annoyed that most getaway deals was from “down south”. So I was looking for a decent one and found this.

You get 2 nights on a boat and a day in a city.

Personally, I’m paying another £20 to get an extra night in Amsterdam.... you have to find your own accommodation for the extra night. Worked out for me to be 2 days in Amsterdam for £200 for 2 people, which includes train from Bradford to Hull. Could have got it cheaper if I went National Express to Hull instead of train and got a cheaper hotel.

Possibly ends on 30th March

Onboard internet wont let you connect unless you buy a card for £3, anyone who leaves their roaming on without knowing the charges needs to read their contract a bit more rather than whinge when they get caught out....its very simple to be fair.

We live literally £5 taxi ride form the terminal an do these "offers" ( which are almost always on in the Winter months so not really an offer or deal to be honest ) about 4 times a year, its a quick weekend away for not a lot of cash.

Customs ARE there, however there is also security to check for stuff you shouldnt be taking onboard, the usual stuff but also drink that you may consume onboard, this is entirely ususal and stop people taking on bottle of spirits and can and drinking them in the bars etc, which is EXACTLY the same as any pub so i dont know why you would do it or moan when you get caught!

The drinks are a little pricey but not over the top, you can get 4 bottles of world beer for £13, reasonable enough, spirits are pub prices + 10%, wine is too, again...if you whinge at this then your being unfair!

Internet....cards are available for £3, once activated you have one hour to use, you cannot stop the clock ( you used to be able to and log in to the app again to use it as and when you want but they stopped that, a bit naughty TBF but , again, reasonable ).

Duty free prices are a JOKE, forget stocking up on anything other than wine, ciggies are about £65 a sleeve of 200, cans are above supermarket prices , as are spirits...

You can stay an extra night in your destination if you want to, theres a £10 supplement per person and you have to get your own accommodation arranged and paid for at destination, this is a good idea if you want to relax more but can add £100 as rooms in destinations like Amsterdam and Bruges are EXPENSIVE!

Onboard cabins... standard ones are small, cramped and have bunkbeds... if your doing this as cheap as you can youll get one of these, however as a frequent ferry user i would always pay the extra £10-15 for an outside premier cabin, trust me... the cabins are larger, you get side by side beds a lot of the time and they're larger, plus your not with the other cattle class area which can be noisy, remember, people use these trips for anything from sightseeing to stag do's...choose wisely!

Transfers are easy to understand and get both ways, they're included in this price....

Anyone wants any other advice feel free to PM me, happy to help

BTW heaty for this price.....its cheap for a nice couple of days away and Hull isnt that bad of a place to visit either...please dont flame me for that remark...ive heard it all and i live in Hull, you make of a city what you want, its not a nad gaff to live!

I did this last year with the Mrs. A few days before we sailed p&o rang and offered us a cabin upgrade for a few more pounds. We had 2 beds next to one another and not bunk beds so well worth it.

It's worth booking the buffet restaurant if you want that before to save a little. And make sure your phones roaming is off. It locks onto the boats non roaming one sometimes and it's very expensive.

Also check out the fake customs guys. They have no legal powers like HMRC and have to inspect your bags from behind a divider with you opening it. Very odd.
Hi what dates are you going as they all either seem to be themed wk ends and alot dearer or no sailings on the dates I'm picking thanks

I definitely recommend these trips. I've done quite a few and always found them good value. The food on board is excellent, both in the buffet restaurant and the Al a carte. I prebook, all Meals before we go

That will be P&O staff checking to make sure you’re not taking you’re own booze on board. Drinks prices on board are extortionate. That’s how they make their money plus parking at Hull Terminal which is at least £20. You can buy alcohol from the ‘duty free’ shop on board but you can’t collect it until you’re leaving the ship on your return to the UK. Hip flask down your pants is advisable !!

This, what an absolute con. I got stung for £45 going between Holyhead and Dublin. Luckily the phone company refunded it but make sure your phone is in airplane mode.

I was paying about £4.50/£5 a pint. For me in Lincoln (non spoons bars) this is normal

Yes, this happens because your phone locks onto the maritime network and it's extortionate!

Mon to thurs just about rules most most employed people out then unless they are on shifts, take holidays or retired.
Wouldn't be worth most subby's taking the time off either.
I guess heat for the former but that's why they are so cheap, to fill the boat.
They have these on every year, start around November time.
We always goto Bruges for the Christmas Market's and fantastic beers.

You can also pay a small supplement, find a B&B and make it into a couple of days in the city.
Some Premier Inn rates in case anyone is coming further away or for whatever reason and needs one!

It’s compiled - partially automated though. Hopefully will save some people some time!
Just priced this up for a weekend in March without the trip to Amsterdam but including meals so you have to upgrade to premier, £660 going to fly somewhere for the weekend instead.39719573-xzqTm.jpg
