will be the same price on both sites as its same company
love15 is a low value code there is usually a min of 20% floating about - can use the specific code of dvr20 on this item but usually there is a general one

Not cheapest on the net by a long shot. Just bought off ebay for £8.50, and can get cheaper off DealExtreme apparently.

agree with rokka, i picked up one for less than a tenner last week.

True I posted today that deal but moderator cancelled my post

M-JPEG is an old and pretty inefficient format, so expect your memory card to fill pretty quickly with this. It's cheap, but I doubt it'd be any improvement over the video abilties of any digital camera.

Not the smallest in the world either...

Their homepage currently features this item as 2nd of 4 highlighted items and provides a code in that promotional panel that gives 40% off their £17.95 "offer price" so it checks out at £10.77 inc. dely.

I get about 20 minutes on a 1 gig card. Battery runs out soon after.

Mine does about 10mins/gb and battery lasts for less than an hour's video.

is the video quality any good on this?

hah well spotted....dont think its supposed to though as 40% off the original 25.95 price gives the 15.77 advertised in the promo screen.

Compression is not very efficient at all - about 15mins/GB. Also, you'll need a Micor SD card that's at least Class 6 or it'll drop a lot of frames giving jerky playback.

Camera's well under a tenner on Ebay now

15mins/GB means 900s for 1024MB, it is about 1.13MB/s. Even Class 2 (minimum 2MB/s) should be able to handle it, am I right?

There are a lot of these about at various prices, the muvi is expensive and has a lower frame rate.

this offer is for the earlier version of the nice chinese copy, i.e. It does raw DV and cannot be iused while charging. battery life new is about 50 minutes, this drops off rapidly after about the 30th charge.
video quality is OK and sound quality is good.

there is another version (sold by DealExtreme $16.10 ) that does compressed video, image quality on this is of course not a s good but still clear, sound quality is much reduced. It does however work while charging, very useful on long trips.

some are also supposed to work as webcams but not on linux without a lot of messing around.

they are fun things to use but remember you may not get what you want on the video, there is nothing to help with aiming it and there is no image stabilisation.

hope this helps.
