"captures VGA resolution" thats going to look good on the tv when played … "captures VGA resolution" thats going to look good on the tv when played back then

Its only 11 quid, what do you expect?

You will always get quips from uneducated morons who have absolutely no expierience of the device. This is a very good copy of the MD80.7 day shop do it for a few quid more.Try one before you spout.

Agreed, the MD80 and clones are rather good for the money and quite discrete.

The ignorant don't really qualify to comment ..

Dont be so hard on yourself I wouldnt call you an uneducated moron its obvious you've had some kind of education;)

i think im right in believing this forum is meant for constructive means.

i think the OP posted a small and lightweight competetively priced camera .
the camera represents good value for money in its own circumstance.

this camera can be attached to a remote controled plane for example.
maybe a chinese lantern or other experimental craft. it has various uses and its low cost serves to encourage those uses.

alternatively we could all spend more on a far better quality video camera with its own resrictions.

nice find OP. great deal at this price. 12 quid and a bit of imagination make this a winner.

I too purchased one from 7dayshop and it came with a 8gb sd card for £19.99. It is not very good, I also have the spy pen which gives a much better picture although they are very similar spec to each other. There are some good reviews on youtube.

Brought it to attach to the cat, to see where else he gets fed! Heat added

Last time 7dayshop had them in stock they were £10.99. Don't buy the 7dayshop one with the 8GB SD card, it can't keep up.
Get a good class 6 4GB card instead (8GB is overkill).
For the all the negative people this is what they are capable of with a decent micro SD card.

its also voice activated for anyone who requires it left unattended... Main problem is setting the date is a pain, and you can't remove the date stamp - however, its really pretty good quality - plenty of clips on youtube, even pretty good in low light. depending on your requirement, you can use this for plenty of things you wouldn't want to use a £50+ cam for, as breaking it isn't gonna be the end of the world (attaching it to RC cars/planes, helmetcam for skiing, biking etc.) IMHO its well worth the money. And a good deal at this price.

whatsThePoint

Judging by planemans clip the quality is terrible, people faces looks … Judging by planemans clip the quality is terrible, people faces looks like they had been blurred outand if you look on youtube for key fob camera you'll see how much better you can buy for less

Well I've had a quick look and the main difference between the two is:

MD80 (the type in the OP), weight = 39g.
DVK808 (Keyfob type), weight = 15g.

MD80 gives 30mins of video for 1GB.
DVK808 gives 11mins of video for 1GB.

MD80 is Wide angle Lens.
DVK808 can take 'still' photos but results are poor apparently.

MD80 has Voice Activation.

On the face of it, unless 'weight' is an issue ie you may wish to use the camera on a RC Aeroplane, Helicopter, Car etc, then, for my money, the MD80 looks the better buy.

Nice review here: youtube.com/wat…rel

its clear to see that the doubters slated this with no actual experience of using it.

its price does not pretend its a HD unit. it is priced as advertised and has many exclusive uses.
comparing this unit to unrelated items will always reveal inevitable differences.

the OPs post is informative and the price is good.
negative comments are groundless with no first hand experience of this precise unit.

I have a key fob camera as well, the results are the same when the conditions are.
Neither are fantastic when moving about quickly but do very well when they are stable.
Just pick whichever one suits your uses best.

Lol,you were up early this morning were you having your nappy changed again? What you all assumed from my "Poundland fodder" comment is that I didnt have one,I actually bought this before christmas for a project, the quality was so bad I couldnt use it.Poundland in Folkestone had a very similar camera for a £1 hence my comment.

I have 2 of these, excellent little cams, I got a 2nd one as the 1st started to go a bit flakey (it seems to over-charge, then you have to wait a few days for the charge level to fall and then its fine.
Dead cheap but an excellent little cam in the car or on the bike......and as a cam for taking occasional film it's hard to beat (I sent a friend abroad footage of my home and some general stuff on a little micro card, it was so much more appreciated than just some still or a description).
