I popped into my local Curry's and noticed these while I was Picking up one of the larger torchies. I thought for £2.97 they were a bargain and got a couple for the kids. They were available in pink, blue, black and silver, but may vary from store to store. I believe it is nationwide as I have seen them in other Curry stores.

I would buy a couple at this price, ideal for the kids for camping.

I grabbed one of these a couple of weeks ago, handy little things to have on your keyring. If you're instore having a look for these, it may pay to keep your eye out for the LED Lenser V2 Triplex torches, they have marked them down to £4.97 which is a bargin for a great little flashlight.

maglites are yesterdays torch gadget, the led torches are far better and cheaper and last much longer.

Mini or Solitaire? The one in the Pic is a Solitaire...

I love Maglites, but I do have three Minis already (always pick them up when I am in US, where they run around £5)

You are probably right that LEDs will last longer, etc. (which ones would you recommend?) and if buying for kids, you're probably better off getting some from the poundshop (if they are the type that lose stuff) but ...

I stuck one of these on my keyring about six or seven years ago and just forgot about it - yet whenever I've needed light it has always been reliable. So I can't knock 'em, based on my own experience.

Janaltus may i recomend this little beauty dealextreme.com/det…697 cheap as chips and will last you a very long time if looked after properly, dropped mine a few times and its still brighter than any flashlight ive ever owned so pretty bomb proof aswell. peace

Yeah, DealExtreme is the place to buy torches - don't waste your money on Maglite branded-stuff with its out of date technology. LEDs are not only longer-lasting, but they are less fragile than incandescent light bulbs and much more efficient.

I have a couple of these.

I did get them for work but found them not to be all that bright and battery life not that great but better than some other torches I've used. In all honest, about all they're good for is finding the lock on your door in the dark or similar (which is what I use mine for now) as they conveniently fit on your keyring.

For a good torch, the LED Lenser stuff is superb. Great quality, long battery life and extremely bright.

Good quality; however lumens output is VERY low
