Lovely idea
Chances are that these aren't actually growing and are a 1 year item only - trees for this cost and this size tend just to have been cut off and 'planted' trunk-first into soil with no roots etc. Glad to be proven wrong though as they would be a monster bargain if they were proper live trees.

I seriously, highly doubt that they are just a off- cut of a tree stuck in a plant pot. Fir trees grow very quickly and these are probably very young and besides, if they were just a stick, they would die before they got them to the shop. I have had a few plants from Lidl and they have been strong and healthy, plus Lidl have a very good code of ethics
As I say happy to be proved wrong but visit any garden centre, DIY shed or similar and 'Christmas' trees for this sort of money are off-cuts put into a pot in soil and designed to be decorated for 1 year only. I agree they would die, just like all real Christmas trees bought each year are dead. The difference being that these are small and put in a pot to stand them up.
Did anybody manage to get these today? I couldn't get to Lidl as I have a poorly little un off school
good little find.
Went today to get one but they are tiny... yes it says 30cm in the description but that must be with the pot... Went for the 7.99 xmas tree which was a nice size and looks much better value would probably be £15 in a garden centre for the same tree. Nicely potted and will go in the garden in the spring to grow.

Thanks for that, I was going to get the little one for in my dining room ,basically for Christmas day when our family descend, but if it's that tiny I think I will go for the bigger one. I love the idea that they are potted - a tree is for life, not just for Christmas (_;)
Are these actually real "christmas trees" and not conifers sprayed with glitter?? Is there anywhere that sells these small real ones?
can't see any at my local. min 7.99
