The £3.68 ‘minimum wage dress’ has been unveiled by online retailer SheLikes.com, aimed at teenagers on a budget.

The outfits – made in Leicester despite lower production costs abroad – can be bought with an hour’s pay at the minimum rate for under-18s.

They will help youngsters who dread being snapped in the same outfit time and again on friends’ phones, the company claims.

‘The increase in social media photo tagging has definitely added to this pressure,’ said director Nick Puri.

‘They fear showing up on their friends’ feeds in the same outfit that they’ve already been seen in, so prefer to buy cheaper styles that they don’t mind wearing as little as two to three times.’

He added: ‘We fully support British manufacturing and are dedicated to working with UK-based suppliers, despite being able to source cheaper production rates overseas.’

The MWD is available in four colours – neon green, pink, white and black – Black is the only colour currently in stock BUT They are all back in stock tomorrow!.

I know it's not reduced but for British made goods the price is a bargain and the £2,95 shipping is no higher if you order one of each colour!

Hope someone finds it some sure:)

Interesting concept.
im guessing the black one based on price is modeled on what you can do with a bin bag
Looks like it aimed at prostitutes not teenagers oO
Get the look that says you're poor and desperate.
the white one is like a carrier bag, the green one is a carrier bag after someone drinking an equally cheap cider has been sick all over you

Sounds like you haven't been out for a long time lol Sadly this is how they dress these days. Often even less material in their dresses or tiny shorts. This is a great idea though, especially as they manufacture here in the UK.

Perhaps... but UK manufactures desperately need ideas that go.... on and on and on
