Some bloke must need one for their wife's Birthday pressie

minky pinky chris waddle

very flimsy and poor quality for a branded name . Ended up in local skip after 2 months use

total ****, easily as bad as a cheapo wilko\tesco\whatever one which would sell for this price.

I know cos I got fooled into getting one in a similar deal few months ago,

Does the job just about, but the padding is minimal, loose, cover comes off too easy, edges aren't padded enough....rubbish really.

oh it's also a complete pain in the **** to put away afterwards due to the clunky release mechanism the end of the iron nearly hits you in the face everytime...one of these days i'll have a nice black eye from it.

wow and i was gonna purchase one when it was normal priced! do Argos edit the product reviews or something, it got 4 stars. lol

Oh Dear,

We Just bought one, based on the reviews on the Argos site.

I wouldn`t expire it based on 2 peoples reviews/opinions above and especially is there is confliting reviews on Argos. I would let people make up there on mind. Some people might think £8 for a new iron board is just what they need at the present time.

I won`t be buying , but have voted hot as thinks its a good price for the product.

Taking a punt reserved 1 for pickup later.hot from me

I have one of these, really flimsy and a bit too small, wouldn't really suggest getting one, maybe good if you have a caravan or something though.

I didn't want the blame for anyone buying rubbish...lol

'Unsuitable for steam generators'

Don't forget this....most boards are a steel open mesh these days to allow the steam right through....

Any suggestions?

I've got a Beldray one,had it for donkeys years, had no problem with that.

Don't take my POV too seriously. I mean at this price, even if it's rubbish well nothing lost nothing gained really.

Personally I was expecting quality because I thought at the time Minky was a decent middle of the road brand. I've found you just can't get an irnoning board under £40 that will feel like it's stable and not make you angry with it's frustrating oddities.

If you can afford it pay your dues and get a brabantia. I did never looked back, but then when something stops stressing you out you don't really notice...Do you wake up every day and say...thank god I bought those double glazing windows etc etc etc...

It's a good deal as a second one, like I said for a caravan or maybe if someone is off to Uni for the first time, just avoid it if looking to use it as a main one.

Not a housewife myself...but I need to iron my clothes regardless!

Mines wonky!! so for £7.99 I've reserved one. Heat added.

The Mrs tried it and says it is okay. She used the old cover on this one to give extra thickness and said it worked well. Well worth the money if you don't want to spend over £40 on the one at Amazon.
