I have a feeling it's useful but not sure for what.

Bought one 3 months ago from Dunelm. Lasted 4 days before the whole thing collapsed as the rope hadn't been tied properly internally. Paid cash for it. Lost receipt. Dunelm wouldn't accept it back for exchange or refund. Spoke to their customer services department who backed the store. Don't waste your money on the company or the line in my opinion.

I have a double version with two line for almost a year now and has been working fine. Only problem was that I haven't secure it into the wall well so over time I can see it slowly coming loose from the wall. But easily fix with some better wall plug and screws.

Just because you seem to have had one that was faulty doesn't mean the whole product isn't any good.

I had my first one for years before it snapped and I've had the one I'm using now for about 4 years.

Great price

Thanks was looking for one of these after getting my poles taken out.

Anyone who lives miles away from a Dunelm can get the same price on amazon for a Minky 15m line when making an order over £10. Could be a 2 to 4 week wait though

Terrible company for having processes in place to prevent fraud and to allow them to stick with the law on faulty goods, OMG they should get Crimewatch and Watchdog involved......or NOT.
Proof of purchase is always required. Yes, if I lost a receipt I'd try going back too, however I'd not slate the company as well.

Lol there is always one person on here working for the company involved. If you had to put up with the muppet in the store like I did you would feel the same way. We had a full blown argument in the store for something that cost me £5 in the end I walked out in disgust. What kind of customer service is that. Forget the law, you want to keep customers don't treat them the way I was treated. Problem is when a company gets this big customers no longer matter that much. If I had bought it from a smaller store where customer service is important the guy would have either remembered me or thought the product is faulty and looks brand new (which is was and replaced it). Actually it is not the law you should have a receipt. Look it up. It is the Company "policy".

Super Noob

I have the double version as well, have been using it for at least 3-4 yrs , I use it outside & get a lot of washing on it , would definitely recommend these.....saves space aswell

I bought one of these from Argos. It broke after 2 weeks and the staff in Dunelm Mill would not replace it even on production of a receipt from Morrisons for a Big Breakfast that very morning. Terrible company.

If looped correctly around the notch at the bottom the internal fixing wouldn't take any weight.
Sounds like you didn't use it properly, then expected it to be replaced after you broke it

The law is you need to provide proof of purchase for a faulty item. As for whether a company decides to do something without is company policy.
I don't work for the and never have. However I've had the pleasure of working for a large retailer and very familiar with how some customers approach a problem, likewise staff. The single biggest problem in situations like these is each side seems to think they know the law and their rights correctly, when they don't. Make of that as you will.
While I'd always try and help a customer, if it escalated, never taking the lead in that sense and became vocal, then the door was always open to be walked out of.

Well considering how aggressive you are on here I can only imagine how pompous and rude you were in-store. YOU have a duty to be polite, its called being a human being.
What a rotten entitled attitude you have, I'm with the store on this one
