Was just about to add this (for my Mum) to my Argos / DailyTelegraph order when I noticed it cheaper on Amazon.
In fact it's currently the lowest historical £price according to ccc.com.

I've had a single line one for yearsss now and it's stood the test of time and weather pretty well.

Description:
The Minky rectractable line is easy to install, with a wipe clean surface. It is supplied with fixings, screws and wall plugs and a detachable bracket. This product is ldeal for small gardens and patio areas.
- easy to install
- supplied with fixings
- 30m drying space (15m x2 wipe clean PVC coated lines)
- extendable lines
- detachable bracket

£7.03 delivered - Amazon, including Amazon Prime.

(The 15m single line version is £7.49 so not a bad price for double the space... amazon.co.uk/Min…1_3?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1376726830&sr=1-3&keywords=Minky)

You'll need to spend over £10 to get the free delivery. In the "More Buying Choices" on the right, George & Freddie do it for £2.73 + £4.30 postage (£7.03) which matches the Amazon price but includes delivery.

Yes ofc, thanks for that tommo. I didn't realise because I'm a Prime customer atm, sowee!

Its only £7 for prime customers otherwise you have to spend £10+
Theres no george & freddie option
Shame

Not as cheap as I thought

or cheap book from warehouse?

To get rid of the delivery price add a cheap CD, DVD or book that comes with super saver delivery. For example add The Military Wives - Wherever You Are CD single for £1.69 of which £0.40p goes to British forces charities.

Bought mine with the 3 packs of Dove(x4) soap on 3 4 2 that I wanted yesterday but postage was ridiculous...£10.03 for my Minky and 12 bars of Dove.

Got this a while back from a deal on here, paid £7.50 and must say it has been outstanding. Highly recommended, used every day (almost) with no problems since I installed it in March.

Heated.

Has anybody had any experience of trying to make this line longer than 15m - by either tying an extra length on or by opening it up and swapping the original line for a longer one - I need a line in the region of 18-20m and nowhere seems to sell retractable lines in excess of 15m. Does anyone who has one think that it would be feasible?

Haven't modified in the way you suggest but I do use 2 of these to cover a run of around 25m by having one on the house, one on the shed and a removable pole in the middle that they both attach to. Gives me a clothes line the length of the garden but one that I can take down when not in use.

B&M have a 2 line retractable for £3.99. In British racing green as well.

Thanks for the reply - I did think about somehow attaching 2 together from opposite ends of the garden so luckily I bought 2 before the price increase - still not really sure how I can work it yet - I think i need to have a look at them when they turn up and see what they are like - instead of attaching to a removable post in the middle do you think it would be possible to hook the 2 lines together? (i have a thin prop that i use on my current line that keeps it taught in the middle but couldn't attach anything to it as its too thin) I currently have a line from a round wooden post down one end of the garden and an ugly lopsided concrete pillar at the other end (which is what i want to get rid of) so want to bypass that and attach it to the house instead - i might start up a company that makes these longer than 15m, seems like a vacant niche in the market!!!!

Had one of these since we moved into our first house a year and a half ago, they're really good lines, but they lose their tension quite easily we have found. Have to keep being re-tensed, so we brought a pole to hold the line up and not noticed any problem since.
