You can actually save 50p if you add the cheaper ones off this list bigpockets.co.uk/fre…ang=

This is an absolutely brilliant TV. I paid £299 for one last year and it is superb. My other TV is a Panasonic TH42PX60 Plasma. This TV compares favourably with it. HD pictures are very crisp. I had some initial problems getting colour, contrast, etc. settings just right. If you do a search you will see some people have had problems with this TV, these refurbished sets are probably ones that have been returned for repair.

So just to be clear these are REFURB with only a 3 month warranty...

dont all mirai tv's come with a 3year guarantee???
my brothers did

yep...Warranty: Yes: 3 Months RTB

You can get this for £299 with the three year warranty in Northern Ireland from any Extravision store (part of Blockbuster) so its worth the extra few quid, as you can pick it up in person too and save the Northern Ireland postage tax:thumbsup:

Oh I have 1 too and they are spot on

I use this set predominantly as a monitor via dvi to hdmi and for my ps3. I find it superb for both these uses.

I would agree with the comment above regarding colour balance. After weeks messing around with settings I am delighted with the results.

As with all RTB warranty offers, you can easily pay in postage what you save on the purchase price. I definately prefer £279 with a 2 year on-site (swop-out) guarantee from ebuyer to £247 with 3 months RTB warranty from bigpockets, where one return can cost £25+. Not good value unless you live right next to their offices.

yes i hav seen that it got no freeview billtin but still a good lcd to get;-)

All Mirai TV's come with a three year warranty. If you don't have the original sale invoice (which you won't have as these are refurbished units), then the 3 years starts from the date the TV originally left the factory.

I know this as I have a Mirai (without an invoice) which has been back under warranty and repaired FOC, Mirai UK even arrange to pick the TV up from your house FOC !

So. how long has this model been on the market, I would guess less that two years which would mean that here was at least 1 years factory warranty left to run .....

Good panel specs for the price, but only one hdmi and no freeview which may end up negating the saving. Voted hot but really it's warmish..

[edit] refurb, not so hot. would want new for this price..

It does also have a component input which is use for my upscaling Philips DVD player. HDMI for my HD box. Must say the £20 Philips upscaling DVD player gives superb images on this screen. I think this TV was only on the market as of last years, so will have at least 12 months warranty on it.

I want one..somebody, anybody - please give me money :-D

Model's changed? It's now a MIRAI001, visually I think the original link model looks better.

Oops, my fault, looks like they have different models & sizes for sale, check link and scroll to bottom

Very tempted by this. Ive been in the market for a budget 32" LCD for the last few weeks.

Would people reccomend this over the Vistron at ebuyer for similar price?- ebuyer.com/pro…143

Wouldn't touch the Bigpockets set with a bargepole. If they had any faith they would at least offer a 12 month warranty not 3 month rtb.

Ebuyer is usually good but try this as well for £289 with 2 year warranty:

Much better spec'd than the refurb too.
