MISPRICE @ Asda - aspirin scanning @ 17p instore

Found 14th Sep 2017
Both the Asda aspirin packs (standard & dispersible) are mispricing - they're meant to be 28p but are scanning @ 17p & 19p respectively.

A misprice is a misprice and £2 voucher is due to you whenever you spot a misprice, it's payable per product misprice so you could feasibly get 2x £2 if you buy one of each.

I tend not to ask for the compo when the misprice is in my favour - but you're fully entitled to it.

Every penny counts.
why would you think you are entitled to a £2 giftcard when they charge you less than the displayed price?

The £2 giftcard is specifically or people who have been overcharged

Never has Gastrointestinal bleeding been so cheap!
Goes down well with Asda smart-price lager
Where did you find out about a £2 gift card for being charged more? This has happened to me several times, and I've never been offered anything more than just the money back to the advertised price...

it was on their website a couple of years ago, then it disappeared, now it's back

It's really important to us
To make sure the price you see is the price you pay at the checkout, we have colleagues who check our shelf edge labels are correct. If we make a mistake or get it wrong and you are overcharged, we'll give you a refund for the difference and a £2 gift card to say we're sorry.

Thanks for that! By my reckoning, I've missed out on well over £40 of vouchers over the last couple of years! They kept this very quiet...

here's a funny one

I am friendly with a big fat Asda staffer called Neil, I have a laugh and in the past have shared a couple of tricks/ opps on APG with him

but LY I happened to see there was a misprice before paying (self service tills) and mentioned I was going to go to CS to sort it out & get my £2 - Neil refused to let me pay, voided off the wrong item and sort of frogmarched me to CS to give me the right price!

all to save £2 to the staff bonus pool

I agree with you - hard to understand why this is cold - on the one hand it's cheap aspirins, on the other there's a £2 voucher to be had, possibly 2x

sure, I agree with you - I guess you can't second guess people, 'nowt's so strange as folk!' - cheap aspirins not the 'flavour of the day', it seems

*sigh*

I'll try again......

When has Asda ever said they will give a £2 gift card to anyone who pays less than the advertised price for something?

They haven't said that, and they won't pay out vouchers if you pay less than advertised. The OP got that wrong, the vouchers are only if you pay more than advertised. If they managed to get vouchers for paying less, then they are very lucky!

Thanks, I agree with you. I'm just waiting for the OP to say where they heard this (they seem to be avoiding the question though)
