How is this a misprice MikeT, what should it normally be??

Dell are only charging £1 extra to add the 3.4Ghz cpu from the 3.2Ghz one.

You mean they're only charging 1p extra to go from the 3.2GHz to the 3.4GHz?
That's not exactly a bargain as buying these CPU's at retail is only £5 difference.
Or is there something I'm missing here? X10

Well maybe its not a misprice then in the real world, but you can be sure Dell would normally mark it up by more than the £5 difference

I am still a bit miffed as to why they do not include dvd writers as standard as they cost next to nothing anyway? Who uses cd's in this day and age?

Original Poster

Its so they can charge more Dead easy to fit your own though isnt it.

This is a nice deal, but honestly, unless you are on a very tight budget, you may want to buy a computer with the new Intel Conroe CPU. The performance difference between the old Pentium4 and Conroe CPU is like day and night (check tomshardware if you don't believe me)!
Thanks for posting the deal though!

This is an excellent deal for the 3.4 dual core processor and I doubt the Conroe will be had for a £1 upgrade, tight budget or not

You're getting a very decent system here, save a bit more if you go through QuidCo for 7% in cashback too.

All the Dell links should take you straight to the deals now, if you use the Go To button [just thought I'd let you know that :)].

Thanks for the info alien7!
