Reckon this may be corrected quickly, but I saw this In store at my local branch (Fareham). Twin was £25 , whereas the single handset was £40?!? Looking at the Tesco website the prices are the other way around. I took the twin to the till and it scanned at £25. + 300 club card points! Win. Will post proof in the comments.

This is not a misprice, it is a decent price. You could easily find similar item for less ...
For instance this:

BT items is always overprice because of inefficiency.
Never ever buy techno item from BT. Unless there is a big discount ...
Barcode 5016351618233. I'm trying to figure out how to upload an image of the shelf ticket at the moment.

Well, I thought that because this is around £45 on Amazon, £50 at Argos, and as mentioned the curious 'reverse pricing' as compared the the tesco website:

tesco.com/dir…294

...that would indicate a pricing error?
I suppose if you '4x' those 300 extra points you get with this, (boost or whatever) you could convince yourself that you were only paying £9 for this???

Or £13 even lol. Whatever way, looks like you had a decent-ish buy.

Yeah, my maths is way out today. I've not opened it, so I could take it back if the general consensus is that BT handsets are poo.

They are, I would personally recommend Panasonic handsets.
Gigaset for me.

Thanks for your honesty. I've taken it back.

I hope your joking about taking it back. You got a good deal on a perfectly good home phone. At the end of the day how much do you really need a home phone to do. This phone will do a perfect job of making and receiving calls and blocking most of those unwanted calls. Don't listen to 1 or 2 people who always try to put any deal down.
