'tomatoe' Too much E (in one sense or another)
Had my eye on this for while

The screwfix one seems to beat this on all fronts. Quieter dB, higher extraction & less power used. But it’s £25 more than this one. In the long run I think you’d be better off. It is all about getting rid of as much steam as you can...

Agree that the Manrose is a better fan, but the one you linked to is a non-timer version. The timer equivalent is the MF100T, which is £51.50 at Amazon: amazon.co.uk/Man…5UA

Update: £45 here and free delivery if you spend £50+ (you'll probably need a grille, ducting and shutter etc anyway) voltelectrical.co.uk/pro…905

Anyone knows why these inline ones called mixed flow?
The manrose is an excellent fan they're the only ones I fit, never have a problem with steam in the bathroom

Anyone knows why these inline ones called mixed flow?

Mixed fans are designed for general HVAC and industrial applications where large volumes of clean air are required at low to moderate pressures. Mixed flow fans provide the performance of a centrifugal fan with the space saving advantages of an axial-type fan
Use to extract air OUT or install the other way around and use to feed air IN
I use the Manrose they are an all round better choice in my opinion
couldn't find in the spec, but usually these fans are not designed for continuous operations (its ok for bathroom etc)

Thanks. Got a link to one you recommend - putting a new en-suite in and don't know where to start. Plumber keeps asking if I have bought it yet.
