3 separate buys are they not.

Well done genius

I need a kitchen tap but don't mind spending more than for something better quality.

Any recommendations?

are these high pressure taps? think that's the right question.......

The quality is as good as £100+ taps. Don't be fooled by the low prices.

Seeing that I paid nearly £100 for a kitchen mixer, £20 is a fantastic price and a 5 year warranty, mine's only got 2 years and Lidl's stuff ain't that bad.

ALDI's pretty good too.

I'll be getting one of these for the kitchen.

It's nothing like the same quality as a Pegler or Franke, but it is 1/5 th of the price. Great value.

Warranty isn't worth the paper its written on

When it goes wrong its up to you to send it at your cost to the manufacturer in Germany. This is because aldi do not stock these all the time.
I binned mine after,18 months.

These are really good to make up the £45 shop requirement when the £5 voucher is in the paper......just return it next time you go in and get your money back to spend on your next shop. It brings the minimum spend down no end.

Bought the shower mixer a few years back and it was great quality. For £20 these are a gift.

great. thanks! was looking for a new mixer tap to go in the bathroom!

Doesn't cost a fortune to send stuff to Germany any more. It might not even break in the 1st 5 years anyway! We spent about 10 times the price on a Bristan kitchen mixer about 8 years ago that's been causing trouble so I'd say the ALDI 1 seems incredible value

I have two bathrooms with £12 Aldi taps and two with very similar looking £100 ones from Bathstore. All 4 still working fine after 6 years but the Aldi ones are far nicer to use.

Got one of the tall kitchen taps, or similar from Aldi about 8 years ago I think. Still working fine, still loooks good, never had any problems. Considering getting one as a spare just in case the old one breaks. Bargain.

Been looking for a tap/shower mixer and the cheapest I've come across so far is £45+ so I will def give them a go. Thanx

Anyone know which other styles they have?

Will these be in every store?

Then return them under the Sale of Goods Act. Warranties don't mean you don't still have statutory rights. And your contract is with the retailer, not the manufacturer.

The only question is whether it is reasonable to expect a tap to last that length of time.

Is anyone purchasing one for a bathroom/shower mixer? It says on the picture 'diverter spout to mixer' but is this going to have some ridiculous fitting meaning I won't be able to find a matching shower head?

As long as you dont have to pay a plumber to fit then ok. If not then not a great tap, low noise really a feature needed on a tap? and these taps dont regulate temp, you need a trv to do that. You use the handle to regulate the water and temp, bit of a naughty description. I wouldnt buy but for the price???
Recomends-- hudson reed or ultra are good, with 10-20yr warranties that mean something if you buy from the right place.

Trust aldi, best supermarket since golden nectars, I wish they would bring those back.

Hmmm not convinced by cheap taps. They are noisy as the holes are never drilled cleanly and the movement is nowhere near as smooth and fluid as the more expesive ones, they might look ok but they feel cheap. I had to replace a mixer for a relative a few weeks ago that had locked open, you could not turn off the water.

For a little more you can buy brandnew new discounted Grohe or Bristan ones on the fleebay. I just bought a Grohe bath maixer for 35 quid and a bristan mono sink mixer for 30. Both superb!

5 year gaurantee is all good on paper but think about time you will waste replacing them.

And what are you going to use as a tap in the meanwhile? I guess you'd have to buy a stopgap replacement. warranty is pretty worthless.

I never realised how complex taps were...

5 year warranty normally covers nothing that will go wrong
Be warned

10 /20 y warranty , I've used Hudson reed before and because of the false warranty never again

Ppl do these taps work with low pressure water systems?
I'm having to replace my taps because they don't have enough pressure. I've got a gravity fed system.
