if you had bothered to google, the answer comes up immediately
"Using your mobile phone as a modem (tethering) is not permitted."

They don't. I've had a payg sim with them for a while, they are fine. Nothing special.

considering this for my mum, what is the normal price and can they ramp up the price after a few months?
Woahhhh, time to leave Life/Plusnet I think

Its a 30 day rolling contract, so just as you have the chance to jump ship to a new provider at relatively short notice, they have the same right to up the charges at relatively short notice. Term 11 in the T&Cs (paraphrasing a little) says they will give at least 15 days notice in normal circumstances.

The same would apply to pretty much any provider's 30 day pay monthly rolling contract though.

Will the sim work in a phone locked to Three?

Will the sim work in a phone locked to Three?

If it doesn't just ask Three for a free unlock code because they don't lock them anymore.
Good deal thanks OP, heat added. Can anyone confirm this would be picked up as a 3 network SIM if I put it into my newly purchased Sainsburys Alcatel Idol phone? Apparently it will lock to the first SIM you activate...
Can you cap the contracts?
where's the charges for going over contract allowance? sounds like a good deal but something smells very fishy about it
Aw pants it's looking to set up a direct debit, can't be bothered with that!
They have a poor reputation and appear to be barely keeping afloat as a company, so think twice if it's an important number.

Quidco offer £2 cashback for this SIM only deal. Technically, if I cancel each month and then re-buy the deal, can I get this for £1.99 each month? Thanks in advance!

The Post Office are a little more than keeping afloat.
Do they have an app like THREE IN TOUCH. Signal not good here, so need to use the app, whilst indoors.

https://www.thepeoplesoperator.com/PAYM_Rates#standard
At the moment, 10p/min calls and voicemail, 10p text, 3p/mb data.
Incoming calls free under their current "discount", although it states 4p/min standard charge (so this price list would be something to keep an eye on if you are prone to exceeding allowances!)

I went ahead and set it up fine - seemed too good a deal to pass up, even if there where extra steps involved...
Of course I checked Quidco after I signed up! I lost out there, typical!

I checked again and it looks like the £2 Quidco is for the lesser SIM deal - 200 Mins+500 Texts+512MB=£3.99 p/m.
The Gb data will suit me (I currently manage on 200Mb/month via FreedomPOP! Well not really, I tether)

What's the Post office got to do with it?? TPO 'The people's operator' are a totally different company.

iv rung them up and i was told to use laptop instead of mobile which i tried 2 hours on.
worked perfect.

thank you op for listing this deal, i have now left iD mobile for same price but much more internet and minutes
my missis was with these they increased her contract by almost 90% 2 months after joining customer service dreadful as well
Threes coverage is crap, cant even get a signal indoors so without the calls over wifi app (intouch) this will be extremely unreliable. Too bad its not a network on the EE signal.
