Overpriced for just the campaign

Why is it over priced, because it's £19.99 for an 11 year old game? If you didn't love it enough the first time around to want to spend £19.99 (£17.85) on it after it's been remastered from the ground up, then it's simply probably just not for you.

Let's take into account Activision's usual pricing and how well Call of Duty games hold their value. It's half a game at half the price. Of course it's not going to include the multiplayer, Activision are slowly but surely dripping that content into Modern Warfare, which is a fully priced game with a multiplayer option. Then there's Ground War, their free to play Battle Royale game, which is another option for MP gamers.

It is what it is, it's a campaign remaster of Modern Warfare 2, priced at £19.99. I won't be buying it, but it's a great price at £17.85 if you want to play again and/or are intrigued by the remaster.

Yes it is now

I only looked half hour ago and it wasn't there... Thanks
If you get 2 10£ cards its 15p cheaper?
Wow Sony tax. Just the campaign?? £20 - good heavens. It’s what 6/7 hours if you are lucky.

Better than the near £60 they sold it for originally and at under 720p
Should be freezing. £20 for a 6hr 11 year old campaign, no thanks what a rip off.

Out on xbox 30th of april. Due to Sony's exclusive deal.
Rip off just for campaign which you can finish quick. Would be a better deal with multiplayer 10000%. Not voting either way but definitely towards the colder side

Not a full game
No multiplayer or spec ops, what's the point 😴

they're bringing the maps over to the modern warfare reboot, but shame about spec ops, absolutely loved it in the original

Not really an excuse when they'll be releasing Treyarch's COD in Sept-Nov 2020

Yeah but I'd rather play the original MP
Just give us the online maps!
Yikes bad idea to release no multiplayer

Resident Evil 3 is £50 for a shorter campaign.
I got the original version and damn do I love spec ops

Well for one the resi campaign is built entirely from scratch and a new experience 2 if you paid £50 you’ve been mugged off rotten and 3 it has multiplayer as well.
Edited by: "killie_lad" 31st Mar
It's a fair price. Compare it to Res Evil 3 which is around 5 hours (with a crappy mutiplayer mode) and it's £40 plus.
I love how people were saying when there were rumours of this releasing “yeah and they will charge full price for this”.
Now people are calling it overpriced when they charge £19.99 for it, at the the end of the day you can’t please everyone.

"remastered" games typically aren't "built from the ground up", more rather just updated/upscaled textures for the most part. Something rebuilt from the ground up would be more akin to a remake.

See the 2016 Modern Warfare: Remastered (same game, new textures) vs 2019 Modern Warfare (reboot of the story and complete remake of the original game)
Cold. Was about £25 on release 11 years ago in the great supermarket price war and included multiplayer.

I'm joking btw, I haven't voted. It's too dear for me though personally.
Bad price for just the campaign which is around 5 or 6 hours long.

Oh sorry I assumed it’s the same system everyone claims for the Nintendo Eshop with over priced ports and remakes.

it’s as if Nintendo tax isn’t a thing either

Yes, sorry - that was my fingers typing faster than my brain. It has HDR though, that's got to count for something
$20 on the US store. Probably cheaper in other regions.
Downloading this now as well, did the same thing by buying the £20 ps code from ShopTo for £17.85. Can't wait to play this again, perfect time as we all are in lock down.
