Sainsburys have sold out and won't be restocking it

trouble is sainsburys have sold out and vultures on EBay charging silly prices

I wanted one and would have been happy to pay £10 for it for my son from Sainsburys, but I'm not going in a wild goose chase to find one and neither will I pay silly amounts of money for it from greedy people on eBay

don't worry about it.

I picked up two from Sainsburys last week.

Bonus, I gave to charity (£4 each) and will make a profit on ebay.

Win Win..

Not now they're selling them on Waterstones for £15 you won't. Unlucky - sounds like you obviously need the money aswell.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the people that sell them on for profit, (I'm too lazy) but where's the problem if they do? They've paid for them, so the money will STILL get to charity. If mugs want to pay a fortune because they "just HAVE to have one for my son/daughter", that's their choice surely? Sainsburys made a little mistake not ordering enough, especially after the John Lewis Monty penguin disaster but like I said, the stupid fluffy cats are being paid for so if there are people out the that want to make a profit,.. Why not?

"People who buy the sainsburys ones and profiteer sickens me as these are for charity and underprivileged children !!! ........"

......Money for charity which has been paid already by the person buying the toy.... The charity would hav ethe same amount of money regardless of who bought it.

We live in a capitalist world.... what is the difference between buying something and selling it in 20 years time at an increased price because it is collectable and buying it now and selling it the next day because it is collectable? (For those who can't see wood for trees... here is a a hint...nothing)

People get a bee in their bonnet about such stupid stuff.. which just boils down to..
"I want one and cant have one because that man over there has it.. why can he have it when i want it.. it's not fair!"

It's a bloody cat stuffed toy. If you love Mog so much, buy your kids the whole series of books. They are brilliant and brought more enjoyment to me as a child (and will do for my daughter) than any stuffed toy could.

Its only worth what other people are willing to pay for them. Just like house prices in the UK.

I aim to buy 3 and sell them on ebay for a nice profit. Those who are jealous, get a life as some people are just being smart to make a few bob.

They are not the same, they look cheap and fake.

But no worries. Cheers for the info.

To be fair Mog isn't advertising mascot like Monty the penguin... Mog has been around for decades, Mog must be nearly 50 i swear.

Bloody great childrens books.. but all this hype is ridiculous.

Argos have a mpg cat ... Looks like home delivery only but free £10

This entire thread makes me hate Britain.

It hasn't got Sainsbury's embroidered on it's forehead, you know? And money goes to charity - unlike Waterstones and other retailers selling different versions of Mog.

Are these the same as the sainsburys ones does anybody know? x

The toy doesn't even look that well made, and it'll be all over and forgotten after Christmas.

No, they are different manufacturers. The Sainsburys one looks a bit different. The one pictured is from Argos but I don't know if it is the same one in Waterstones. I can't speak for this one, but I would say the Sainsburys ones are well made, and feel lovely!

I've got the Waterstones one and it's lovely, I think it's a little smaller than the Sainsburys one but I think better quality. It's an officially licensed product and, personally, I think it shows. A lot of the Sainsburys ones seem to have wonky faces :-/
