Monin 250ml Syrup £2 at Sainsbury's

Found 22nd Oct
This is a relatively regular offer, but posting anyway so people know that it is on. Monin syrups are currently 33% off at Sainsbury's, including:

- Hazelnut
- Salted Caramel
- Caramel
- Vanilla

Great for coffee, hot chocolate or more. Whilst this isn't the sugar free version, I think I'd rather have the product with five ingredients, rather than about 15!!

This *might* be online only, but definitely available on delivery's through to 31/10/2017. Also available at Tesco (only Caramel and Vanilla), but expires on Tuesday.

Full of sugar. Tkmaxx sells similar syrups but without the sugar.

It's syrup, what do you expect?

Sugar isn't great. Neither are long lists of ingredients full of (possible) carcinogenics. Already mentioned sugar in the OP

Would personally disagree here - they have many sugar free versions, but the more interesting flavours are almost always "full of sugar" (duh, syrup! ).

I am just finishing a sugar free vanilla, but think I will go back to the sugar version - not convinced about the health benefits of sugar free syrup.

Can you cite your source which proves they're full of carcinogenics (sic)?

Edited to keep you happy; there are a multitude of studies raising concerns relating to sugar free "alternatives"; it's up to you to decide whether you want to believe them or not.

How's that better? Can you cite a source that there's possible carcigens or is the fact that there's no proof that there isn't combined with someone having an alternative opinion to you enough to make such claims?

A bit of abstract there about how acesulfame-K (the sweetener in Monin Sugar-Free syrups) has the potential to damage DNA.

Of course sugar causes cancer too, but if they're both going to kill me, I'd prefer it be the one that tastes nice and doesn't make me feel sick
