Monkey World Entry for Kids £1 when you bring a gift for the monkeys

Found 12th Feb 2014
MonkeyWorld is an ape rescue centre and also featured on a TV series Monkey Life. I go a lot and really like the place as they do such amazing work.

(Monkey World assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.
At the Centre refugees of this illegal trade as well as those that have suffered abuse or neglect are rehabilitated into natural living groups).

Entry is usually £8 but if you bring a gift you can gain entry for a child for £1.

Details:
From Monday 17th to Friday 21st February 2014, Monkey World is offering children entry to the park for just £1 when they each bring a present for the primates and are accompanied by a full paying adult!

'Presents' must be either:

- a PAIR OF SOCKS (used is fine, but must be clean with no holes please);

- or CHEWABLE VITAMIN C TABLETS;

- or some DRIED FRUIT PACKETS.

Please note that opened packets of tablets of dried fruits are not accepted.

One full paying-adult may bring more than one child for £1, but one donation ('present') is required per child to redeem the offer.

This offer is also open to 'Adoptive Parents' who receive free entry to the park.

Have a great day out this February Half Term at Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre!

This is all lifted from Wikipedia so its not my own words. I just go to see the monkeys! lol

It was originally intended to provide a home for abused chimpanzees used as props by Spanish beach photographers, but is now home to many different species of primates.

Monkey World works with foreign governments to stop the illegal smuggling of wild primates. In January 2008 the group performed what The Guardian called "the world's biggest rescue mission of its kind," when it saved 88 capuchin monkeys from a laboratory in Santiago, Chile, where some of the animals had been kept in solitary cages for up to 20 years. The operation was carried out at the request of the laboratory, and with help from the Chilean Air Force, who flew the animals to Bournemouth airport with special permission from the British government.

In August 2010 Monkey World rescued a Bornean Orang-utan called Oshine from Johannesburg, South Africa. She was living like a human eating as badly as we do to! She got a little bit large.

Their work continues on.

i loved this programme when it was on but way too far away for me to visit

Gift for the monkeys? They can have the wife with bed sox on if they want

I've been hear thought it was really good

What's wrong with bananas.

http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs26/i/2008/133/5/4/Monkeh_by_stitch_666.jpg

apparently bananas are restricted now due to the natural sugar levels
when given in excessive amounts it was causing behavioural issues within the families
so now nore variety of fruit and veg is given to the chimps
not sure if its at monkey world but someone explained it last week that another place was doing this

I have never been so think I shall take my tribe of monkeys next week if its nice

They successfully fought Mary Chipperfield of Chipperfields Circus through the courts to rescue a chimpanzee that she was mistreating and have her convicted. monkeyworld.org/new…htm . Well worth supporting this charity who do brilliant work, and a great day out too.

nice looking deal , shame about the location of the place , Dorset , may need a boat to get there.
