DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.

The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.

The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!

The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.

The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.

High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

Ordered a pair for work a bargain at this price all reviews sound great too Thanks

Not 100% convinced with these and recently payed £16 for Sennheiser HD 201

There is a review where they are compared with the Sennheiser HD201, The review says that the Monoprice absolutely eclipse the HD201 in all areas......Hence why I went for these over The HD201

"As a comparison, I also own a pair of Sennheiser HD201's which are around the same price. In all honestly, the Monoprice sound quality totally eclipses the Sennheiser's! At first, I was pleasantly content with the Sennheisers, and was under the state of mind that "you get what you pay for", I accepted their lack of clarity and mediocre soundstage, but now that I have listened to the 8323's, I feel the Sennheisers are cheap and sound raspy by comparison. I have found the Senn's are not able to reproduce the highs and bass as accurately as the Monoprice and appear to distort much quicker when pushed to higher volume levels. When listening to the two models side-by-side, the sound quality comparison is night and day. Under a blind test, I feel that the comparison is the equivalent of putting a £15 headphone up against (at least) a £80 headphone. In all seriousness, you have to try a pair for yourself to get the full understanding"

Well my pair are due to arrive today around 15:00 so will let you know. I have Sennheiser HD 202's already but wanted another set for around the house. Should be a good comparison.

Ok they just arrived, unboxed and plugged into my PC. Compared to my Sennheiser HD202's there is no comparison. Good size ear cups that cover the ears. good bass, good volume, overall for the first 5 minutes I'm impressed. Better for listening to music on that my Triton 5.1 Gaming headset too.

Who the hell are Monoprice and how are they making such good kit and a decent price compared to other brands?

I have to agree with you, just got mine and they sound very good. Thanks Op

Just received my pair this morning and only had a brief listen, but out of the box they sounded a little harsh and sibilant. Did anyone else find this? If so, did burn in make a significant difference?

I will have a longer listen this evening to make a more informed judgement. I am probably expecting too much considering that I am comparing to headphones that cost a lot more.

Ordered, and found this deal separately. Looking forward to hearing these headphones!

I'm still impressed with the sound quality. I do find that depending on the device I may tweak the bass / trebble etc to get the optimal sound. A setting for my Klipsch S4 in earphones leaves these with a very narrow soundstage however changing the settings on my Cowon J3 brings them back to life. I guess it's the same for all headphones, if you leave a device on default equaliser settings then it will probably not sound as good.

Excellent headphones for the price!

The clamp is a little tight, going to stick it on some books overnight and let it burn it too. Should be fine after a few hours/nights.

Found this delightful earcushion mod to do in around 10 mins:

Literally pull the sock over the pad (no need to remove it) and tuck it in. Comfort is improved massively for me.
