Complete waste of time and money in the uk nobody Iv ever heard of has had …Complete waste of time and money in the uk nobody Iv ever heard of has had damage to any pc from a surge spike if you need protection from surge spikes then it’s well known you’d need to protect anything and everything that’s plugged in. If you are buying one of these because of lightning it will not protect against that and the only time I have ever heard of someone having to replace anything because of a surge it came down the phone like in the uk most people now use distance (often a wireless router) to their PCs, thus negating the risk from a phone line. Help me understand why it’s needed in the uk because as far as i am aware it’s not.

It looks like a power surge has damaged all the punctuation keys on your keyboard...

What happens if you switch over to a standard definition TV channel,do you run the risk of your TV blowing up lol

Is it 4k 10 bit ?

Lol, I remember Currys,Comet pushing this unit and other Monster stuffs for more the the actual TV you where buying..

Great price, about time

Do these 200k warranties hold any weight if your setup actually did blow?

Do these manage to avoid bunging horrible noise back onto the ring main that occasionally blows RCD's?

Went for this, although £17.99 for me? Also 15% Quidco.

Overpriced initially? Yes, hell yes! But the build quality is miles ahead of anything else at this reduced price.

Yes, I went for one of these as well, it's just a shame the PLC socket isn't the one offset against the phone sockets (rather than the TV socket)......many Powerline adapters seem to be very large and face the wrong way.

Oh, and two satellite connections would have been nice too!

Anyone know whether the £200k insurance is worth the paper it's written on? Is the product still supported?

I'd say as long as Monster are in business, yes.

Remember selling these in my time at comet! £100 upwards. Was always honest with people and left them to decide if they wanted it. Some people rejected them outright others bought it. Have had a monster surge protector myself for many years

Had one of these for many moons. Grabbed it in the Clearance at my local Comet for £20. It's lasted the test of time and has great build quality, but I'd never pay more than £20 for it.

errrm negative

Have to say I bought this and a HDMI lead as a set for £99 3 years ago, there is 3 plugs that are eco settings I.e come on go off when you turn tv on or off for instance. This then picks up that the tv isn’t using power and shuts these socket down so you could have sound bar in one and maybe a lamp or something in another and they turn on and off automatically. Having said that these stopped working after 2 years completely (common problem) also had a issue with the HDMI lead too. Having said that I contacted monster and they replaced both the power surge and HDMI lead after I sent the old ones back(they sent prepaid ups labels to my email). They also replaced for the latest models not even the old ones that I had. For that alone I feel my £99 was worth it. Especially if monster are around for another 20/30 years. You can’t beat customer service on a level like that. To replace products after 2 years and pay for returns and fast delivery of the new items I’d say worth every penny. Sometimes buying cheap don’t pay at all.
