May be worthwhile stating which site.

Didn’t want to clog up the deals with those discount codes but Dragon Ball FighterZ (both platforms) is the same, which is also released today. Haven’t got checking other sites properly yet but it’s probably good if you don’t have Smyths nearby
Distinctly underwhelmed with the beta. They probably don't merit comparison, but against Horizon, which I've been playing loads of lately, this just paled in every way to me. Cancelled my pre-order but hopefully it lives up to somebody's expectations.

You're right, they don't merit comparison.
Am I right in thinking you can get this at Smyths for £37 with click & collect

I think Zelda BoTW is a better comparison but Horizon paled in comparison to that so not sure I want to buy this now review are marginally better than Horizons though

A 20 minute demo of a 100+ hour game isn't a good representation particularly when you nerf the difficulty to not scare away casuals.
That's not your fault but the series historically has far more depth than Horizon which is a very surface level story driven game which can be boiled down to 'shoot dinosaur robot in the glowy bit'.

I don't think you can any more. I've tried and have not been able to.

That's fair enough, horses for courses I guess. Or dinosaur's even. The idea of a demo is to give you some clue as to whether it's your kind of thing and, casual gamer or not, it wasn't mine. Maybe I'll re-visit down the line.

I forgot today it is released so the Smyths pre-order price no longer applies. Heat then for this price
Does anyone know if its comes with the Exlusive Horizon content?

If it's anything like the other Monster Hunter games I find it take can take a while before it sinks it's claws in. Really wasn't into the Wii U one at first then it became an obsession for a good couple months (which is a long time if you have an attention span like mine). I wasn't hugely drawn in with the beta either but I'm really looking forward to giving this one a proper shot. I would say give it a chance but I can totally understand not wanting to gamble £40 on something that just outright is not your thing
Does anyone know if it comes with the Wind Charm DLC?
Thanks, seems like the best price around. Forgot to pre-order it so I'll have to wait a couple more days

It is a technical game so they've explained a lot as you go through the main story. But because there is a lot they have to explain and a lot you would have to read and understand, it can be overwhelming for newcomers.

In terms of the battles with monsters, they last a while and you have to know when to attack and when to defend/dodge. Its not a game where you can go all out attack and hope it dies before you do.

You can keep replaying the easier missions to get armour and weapons which make the next bunch of missions easier, and keep progressing through the game like that.
i do like zelda botw
thinking whether to invest in this

It's really nothing like Zelda botw. It's a game where you go find and fight a variety of boss type monsters over and over again to try and upgrade to the best possible gear. In terms of complexity I'd say it's easy to play (depending on your weapon choice) but tricky to master, there's a huge number of systems for items, upgrades, crafting etc.
