Yes this is going to be store specific for those who have pumpkins left but worth it for those who live nearby to check and get some practising in for next year perhaps?

Found at Sainsburys St Albans.

Also the carving sets and other pumpkin bits all reduced in there too.

Decent, thanks for posting Been some scary pumpkins this year, but this one tops the lot...

you couldn't give them away today never mind 10p unless someone is having a late party

Soup

ive had a delicious pumpkin casserole and also baked pumpkin with rice and herbs if you get the smaller ones so can be baked inside the pumpkin. No-one heard of pumpkin pie. Seriously there is so much you can do with this and dirt cheap at 10p for a large one.

Dont' just buy them to waste the vegetable, so you can use the shell for decoration.

Does anyone know if these can be frozen for next year?

Bought 2 giant ones 10p each. Soup already bubbling away. I don’t like creamy soup so just use milk. Freezes well

... or eat them instead of wasting food?

So agree, couldn’t believe how many huge boxes of these things were outside local Asda unsold. Another unwanted American import.

Actually I think you'll find these are grown in the UK.

Got several large pumpkins for free last year, made my own additive-free pumpkin puree and froze it for various recipes, was totally worth the effort

Yeah but the wholecommercialisation and pumpkins instead of turnips etc emanates from the US
