Listen to the fantastic Lee Evans performing his great stand up routine A true master of his craft. I'm sure he's not everyone's taste but if you're a fan like me 99p for this is a real steal. Enjoy

How useful is just having the audio, given that a lot of his humour comes from his physical performance (facial expressions, body action, etc)?

Thanks. I got Roadrunner with my Google Play credit
Great spot thanks, great for the commute
Also available on Spotify, if anyone subscribes to that.

More useful than having both, but not quite as useful as having neither.
Saw these live, absolutely love the guy. Hoping for a one off comeback tour in the future, but not holding my breath. Heat all day long from me.

I can say that I often listen to comics including Lee Evans, without actaully seeing them. I think I've seen that much of the guy, I know what he's doing and laugh about it anyway

A really good movie he was in where the police set him up for murder. It's not a comedy.

Freeze Frame.

Before I bought Roadrunner I watching this clip on Youtube (I even closed my eyes for some of it to cut out the visuals). It's only 90 seconds but it made me laugh at least once. After downloading and listening to the full performance all the way through (1hr 56min), I didn't smile once (even on the bit I'd already seen, the swearing seemed a bit tacked-on too which made it even less funny). So I'd say you are right to worry. Play the clip with your eyes closed to see how funny you find it first. It's not so much the money as the time you could waste.
